- Kasha - The Kasha Crystal located at the heart of this weapon allows a user to keep a clear mind when under intense stress. A crystal such as this can keep a user calm and focused with a clear mind even in the tense situations of battle.
- Waterproof - A bifurcating cyclical-ignition pulse allows this weapon to be used underwater.
- Sign of Struggle - The Blackwing Crystal can only be obtained by fighting the undead rancor, and the presence of said crystal in this weapon is a sign of the trials that Kei went through to obtain such a weapon.
- Cotorsis - This lightsaber can easily been defeated by the normal lightsaber proof materials, those being Cotorsis and Beskar and things of that nature.
- Short Reach - In a galaxy full of blasters and explosives, a lightsaber has fairly short reach compared to these (though due to the Dual Phase abilities of this lightsaber it's still able to be longer than most)
Built by former Jedi Padawan Kei Westbrook, this lightsaber is the sign of his final step from Jedi Padawan to Jedi Knight. It has served since his final days as a Jedi Padawan and has served throughout the Knighthood period (including the situations that Kei has found himself in, which are numerous with numerous missions to boast). The weapon is designed to continue serving Kei well into his role as a Jedi Master.
Due to the Blackwing Crystal within the weapon, the blade given off is smokey ash in color with a story of fighting an undead rancor to follow. The short version is that Kei had to outsmart the beast and spent numerous hours (without his master, completing the trial) attempting to get past the beast before being able to sneak between it's legs and the final moment and run as fast as possible into the cave.
The rest of the materials for this weapon are pretty self explanatory. The Kasha Crystals were collected from Mygeeto in which Kei had to put up with force visions. The Durasteel was collected from a scrap merchant and formed by Kei into the weapon. The Plasteel was brought as switches and simply just wired up to the lightsaber which allows it to work. The entire process took maybe two weeks to complete.
