- Customizable: A jedi's greatest weapon is his creativity. As such, the Kenobi Pattern Armor is designed to be fully customizable should the jedi want to. From the ability to make a full revamp of the technology, to reworking the Force Imbuement to their own liking. (This acts as a full open permission for anyone in the NJO to make a custom version of this with their own ideas.)
- Flexibility: The Kenobi Pattern, unlike the Guardian Armor of the NJO, was designed with pure flexibility in mind. While plates are designed to keep jedi safe, none of them weigh more than a pound or two, and each is designed to enable full range of movement
- Forceful Protection: On top of everything that came with it, The Kenobi Pattern Armor comes standard with a general force imbuement, allowing it to be protected from things like Mecha-deru, or telekinesis. This also allows it to brush off offensive force abilities, to an extent.
- Plates of (Song)Steel: The plastoid used in the defensive plates across the armor are actually internally lined with songsteel, as a way to allow jedi to deflect lightsaber, blaster, and slug strikes. While no where strong enough to be relied on in a prologued battle, they are capable of shrugging off a handful of saber slashes, or high powered slugs from the enemy.
- Custom Fit: With the spanning size of the NJO, the new standard issue armor was designed to be adaptable for most anatomical structures, and can even be extended for different species' unique features.
- Helmet Not Included: As per usual, the NJO prefer to have their jedi be recognizable faces to the populous. While this does wonders to the psychological aspect of war, it does mean that Jedi who wish to keep their head on straight must do so with their own saber and skill, not with a helm.
- Force Reliance: Despite the panoply of gadgets and utilities attached to the armor, the armor isn't designed to withstand directed high energy EMPs, which will fry the electronics. Quality of life enhancements are included with a degree of fragility, expecting the wearer to be a force user proficient enough to neglect the need for them if need be. The same can be said about the Imbuements, requiring the Force to work, as such any form of Force Negation will disrupt these imbuements.
- Unconventional Warfare: The Kenobi Pattern Armor isn't designed to protect against the unconventional stylings of many rogue elements. Acid, Radiation, or Chemical attacks will seep through the armor and leave whomever is under it unprotected.
Following the Battle of Coruscant, the Dooku Pattern that had once served many jedi during the Second Great Hyperspace War was, understandably, retired. As such, the newly appointed Sentinel of Harmony and Quartermaster, Jonyna Si and Elias Edo , were tasked by Valery Noble to create a more nimble, simple armor for jedi not looking to use the bulky Guardian Armor. The need for an iconic look was raised, and Jonyna offered the armor of one Obi Wan Kenobi from the Clone Wars as an ideal candidate.
A month later, and the NJO's newest set of armor was born. The Kenobi Pattern. Designed to be light, but firm enough to protect those on a battlefield, while also acting as a way for jedi to communicate and integrate into battlefield situations. As such, much like the jedi armor of the Clone Wars, the Kenobi Pattern Armor used the GADF Nemean Armor as a base, building around the GADF armor with NJO ideas, creating a set of armor that your average jedi can turn into their own personalized fit.
