    THE DRAELVASIER HAVE BEEN BORN ANEW. CHIEFTAIN TATHRA KHAEUS RETURNED TO DRAEMIDUS PRIME AND REVIVED HIS PEOPLE FROM NOTHING. FROM HIM CAME THE COUNTLESS VAT-BORN DRAEL OF THE FIRST GENERATION. THESE WERE HOLY WARRIORS, TO BRING THE GALAXY TO A PURE GLORY.

    KEREIOKH VRAER AND KYRSU KVOZT ARE BORN TWO YEARS AFTER THE CHIEFTAIN'S CRUSADE BEGINS, NATURAL CHILDREN, BORN OF TWO FEARSOME BAEDURIN. THEY ARE OF THE FIRST GENERATION TO BE BORN WITHIN XAELDRASK, TO CALL DRAEMIDUS PRIME THEIR HOME. THE VAT-BORN CONSIDER THEM STRANGE, BUT THEY ARE INSEPARABLE AND INVINCIBLE. THEIR PARENTS TELL THEM THAT THEY ARE THE FIRST OF A NEW LINEAGE, A NEW AGE OF THE DRAELVASIER, THAT THEY WILL GROW AND EVOLVE AND BRING THEIR PEOPLE WITH THEM.

    XAELDRASK IS A CITY BUILT FOR WAR. DEEP WITHIN THE PLANET, HIDDEN FROM THE ION STORMS, THE VARIOUS MILITARY FACTIONS CALL THE CAPITAL THEIR HOME. FROM THEIR BIRTH, THE KAD'MAERA BROUGHT THEM INTO FRUITION: TAUGHT THEM THE WAYS OF THEIR PEOPLE, THE STRENGTHS OF THEIR BODIES, THE TENANTS OF THE DRAELVASIER. THEY WERE TO BE WARRIORS, AS THEIR PARENTS BEFORE THEM, AND CONTINUE THEIR CHIEFTAIN'S HOLY QUEST.


    CHILD OF MOTION:
    THE KAD'MAERA IS ESSENTIAL TO EVERY DRAEL'S LIFE. IT IS WHERE ONE LEARNS HOW AND WHAT AND WHY TO BE AS THEY ARE. BUT KEREIOKH AND KYRSU'S EDUCATION WAS TWO-FOLD: THAT OF THEIR INSTRUCTORS, AND THAT OF THEIR PARENTS. AXAG AND AUVRAKH TAUGHT THEM EVERYTHING THEY KNEW: HOW THEIR INHERITED BODIES MOVED, THE SHAPE OF THEIR MEMORIES AND THEIR VISIONS OF BATTLE, AND THE DANCE.

    THE DRAELVASIER DANCES ARE PART OF THEIR SACRED REVIVAL, THE THING THAT BROUGHT THEIR PARENTS TOGETHER, AND A CELEBRATION OF THEIR HISTORY. IT IS THEIR PEOPLE OUTSIDE OF BATTLE: STILL IN THAT SACRED PHYSICALITY, EXPRESSION THROUGH MOVEMENT.

    KYRSU BECOMES THE SPEED TO KEREIOKH'S STANCE. THEY WERE BORN TOGETHER AND THEY MOVE TOGETHER WITH THAT SAME SYNCHRONY. THEY GROW INTO WARRIORS, TWO SIDES OF THE SAME COIN, AGILITY AND STRENGTH, BUT THEY BLOSSOM AND SHINE AND DREAM IN DANCE. THIS IS THEIR CHILDHOOD: A CONSTANT MOVEMENT, UNDER THEIR INSTRUCTORS, ALONGSIDE THEIR PARENTS, TOGETHER WITH EACH OTHER, AS THEY GROW INTO THE DRAELVASIER THAT THEIR PEOPLE TRAINED THEM TO BE.


    CHILD OF WAR:
    KYRSU DIES EIGHT MONTHS INTO THEIR FIRST DEPLOYMENTS.

    IT IS AN UNFORTUNATE REALITY OF THEIR EXISTENCE: HOLY WAR DOES NOT COME WITHOUT DEATH, AND WEAKNESS IS INTOLERABLE IN THE BRYN'ADÛL. SO KEREIOKH HOLDS THAT BURNING PAIN CLOSE, AND FORGES IT IN STEEL. HE TAKES THE GLAIVE OF THEIR MOTHER AND CRAFTS A DOUBLE-EDGED WEAPON, AND FITS HIS SISTER'S MEMORY TO THE OTHER END. HE BECOMES KNOWN AMONG THE INFANTRY FOR HIS FEROCITY, FOR HIS CEASELESS AND BEAUTIFUL MOTION. HE WORKS HIS WAY UP THROUGH HONOR AND GLORY AND DISCIPLINE, BATTLE AND BATTLE AND BATTLE.

    BRUTE FIELD MARSHALL VRAER DANCES BEFORE EVERY BATTLE, HIS SOLDIERS KNOW. THEY WATCH THE STORIES IN HIS MOVEMENTS, THE MEMORIES, THE DETERMINATION AND BRUTALITY THAT THEY HAVE WITNESSED IN THE GLORY OF WAR. HE FIGHTS FOR HIS PEOPLE, HIS FAMILY, HIS PAST AND HIS FUTURE, AND HE WILL SEE THE VISION OF THE DRAELVASIER TO COMPLETION.

    BARAD SPIKE RIFLE: A SPIKE GUN THAT FIRES OFF SUPERHEATED METAL SHARDS, TEARING THROUGH ENEMY RANKS. THE BAEDURIN RESISTANCE TO HEAT MAKES THEM VERY EFFICIENT AT HANDLING THESE HIGH-TEMPERATURE WEAPONS.​
