TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Mass Driver Cannon
  • Weight: Large
  • Size: Heavy
  • Ammunition Type: 102mm Shell, Baradium-Depleted Casing
  • Ammunition Capacity: Large
  • Effective Range: Average
  • Rate of Fire: Very High
  • Damage Output: High
  • Recoil: Average
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • The Keres utilizes a 102mm shell with a depleted baradium casing that has been augmented with ardanium increasing the shell’s strength when in the presence of radiation. Beneath this layer is a layer of durasteel that has been reinforced and is coated in an animated metal sealant.
  • An anti-ion mesh lines the shell beneath the animated metal sealant.
  • Shells are typically packed with thermite, and all shells are packed with an electromagnetic exciter disk in the rear of the shell.
  • There are some shells that are packed with collapsium gas, and liquid baradium.
  • Ionization of the shell may be done by enabling the artillery unit’s ionization field.
  • There is an option to pack shells with crystadurium ball bearings that have been coated in ardanium with the idea to create more shrapnel upon impact. [Ball Bearing]
  • A shaped charged round leads this, encapsulated tibanna gas accompanied by baradium-impregnated detonite encased in a conductive shell. [Plasma]
  • An impervium-crystalamnium led, conical-shaped shell with animated metal sealant and ardanium coat containing thermite, baradium-plasmatic gel and anti-armor concussion grenade components. [Armor Piercing]
  • An impervium-durasteel-tungsten cap, designed for fragmentation packed with thorium charges, lined with a nergon-14 and rhydonium plasmatic gel. [High Explosive]
  • Fast track mounting and fire-link capable, built-in heuristic data processing for performance improvement.
  • Single target tracking, and automated lock-on/lead system.
  • Recoil control management systems, internal inertial dampeners, kinetic energy absorption systems, and emergency Newtonium liquids.
  • Internal temperature check, automated fail-safe, and containment system.
  • Range-finder and built-in range sensors, automated warning for incoming fire.
  • Gauss/coil firing mechanisms, electromagnetic rails.
  • Dedicated power generator with a crystal chamber matrix featuring boreas and energy crystals. Includes heatsinks, fans, and built-in cooling devices to prevent the cannon from overheating.
  • Remote exciter disk sensor system, remote detonation monitor, emergency detonation override system.
STRENGTHS
  • Rapid Fire: Able to hit more often than perhaps other MDCs in its class.
  • Impact: Hard-hitting mass driver cannon.
WEAKNESSES
  • Range: Unable to effectively engage in short-range combat.
  • Size: Unable to effectively hit targets smaller than twenty-five meters.
DESCRIPTION
The Keres is In part to modernize an older weapon, and in streamlining their weapons. Primo Victorian has discontinued their Nagata-type Plasma Drivers. In favor of bringing the weapon in line with the rest of its mass driver products. The Keres will replace the Nagata once production begins later this quarter.

Mimicking the work done with the Javelin-type advanced concussion missile. The Keres reintroduces high explosive and armor-piercing rounds to the mass driver line. A concept that had been introduced early on with the Mogh-type, but that had been largely unused since its introduction.

With the Keres, Primo Victorian moves away from soft capped, armor-piercing shells and to hard-capped. This after several surveys and recent studies, from scanning newer fleets throughout the galaxy revealed the heavy use of impervium. Thus this lead Primo Victoria to utilize Impervium as the lead for this shell. From tip to end, the shell is coated in an augmented animated metal sealant that contains ardanium. The body of the shell is comprised of an Impervium- Crystalamnium mix. The explosive charge inside, packed thermite, lined with a baradium-plasmatic gel, and contained anti-armor concussion grenade components.

The High Explosive mix, utilizes the same APCHC as the Armor-Piercing Shell, however; this shell would instead be designed for fragmentation. The Impervium here would be less so, and mixed with it would be Durasteel and Tungsten. The HE Shell then instead of concussion grenade components. Carries with it as many thorium charges (designed for detonation on impact) as one could pack lined with a plasmatic gel that contained the heavy presence of nergon-14 and rhydonium.

Keres focuses more on rapid-fire in its damage output, and it’s most effective range is in standard turbolaser range. Like all Primo Victorian MDCs, the Keres makes use of the ionization field allowing it a greater chance of impact and completing its mission on target. As hard-hitting, and as fast as the Keres fires - it is not effective against smaller targets. Lastly, featured on the Keres is the Armor Piercing and High Explosive shell variants, these variants are likely to be featured on future MDCs up to the Polemos’s 203mm.

Note that it is quite noticeable that the Keres is a large caliber shell, this is due to recent Primo Victorian reorganization. The 88mm will be shifted for future terrain-based vehicle projects as it looks to modernize its tank line. The Keres will be featured later this quarter and next year in new Primo Victorian naval projects.

Another very cool submission!
  • Please link the Primo Victorian Shipwright to the Manufacturer.
  • Forgot to add the Size to the Tech. specification, please edit it.
  • Weight: Large; this is heavy, please fix it.
