Bio:
Raised in an abusive family, Kerrick learned what it was to take a hit at an early age, an unfortunate development to all, the cause of xir blind eye. Xir “family” was only comprised of xir father and xem, which is the cause of xir anti-authoritarian attitude. This continued on into xir early adolescence, when the man was the victim of an “accident” at home, which was really just the endgame of xir finding his blaster unattended and making short work of things.
Now that xe had finally found xir way out of things, the first question was where xe would end up. There was an orphanage nearby, and next to trying to locate distant family, that was the best alternative. So that was where xe wound up, until xe were old enough to leave and stake out a life by xemselves. The environment in the orphanage was a vast improvement from what life with xir father had been like, but dependence was never xir best quality, so xe left just as soon as xe were able.
There weren’t many jobs in the galaxy that appealed to xir sense of wanderlust, until xe caught wind of just how profitable the smuggling business could be. The credits, coupled with the fact that it was a job with no particular base of operations, convinced xe to attempt to stake xir claim in the business almost immediately, however illegal it might have been. Xe started out rocky, and slowly learned the trade through trial and error.
Kerrick still hasn’t made quite as big of an imprint on the galaxy as xe would have liked to this day, but with the ever-expanding criminal underworld and the rise of a number of criminal syndicates, work is beginning to arise much more quickly and in many more sectors, and more opportunities have begun to present themselves.
