APPEARANCE:
This Arkanian Offshoot is small in stature, and with skin and hair so pale that it is nearly translucent, Khione appears almost ethereal. Her only natural claim to color shines forth from her eyes, which are a blue much like the vibrant cornflower. Another shade of blue is prevalent on her person, however. On her face linger the marks of a trade that has long been a source of contention between groups around the universe. For clothing she tends to wear flowing and loose-fitting attire, while at times she will add shorter, tighter-fitting tops.

BIOGRAPHY:
Born into slavery, Khione was raised with the knowledge that her body and soul were not her own. Her mother, Semara, was slave to an Arkanian businessman whose ruthless determination in his profession translated to calculated brutality in the bedroom. He was merciful only in that he prohibited the men Khione encountered from using her the same way as her mother. Early in the child’s life her master had determined that she would be given to a business rival, whom he hoped to impress with his valuable breeding stock. Khione was thus placed under the watchful eye of the house cook. However, the businessman did not stop the brutal punishments that awaited her each time she failed to perform a household task sufficiently enough for her cruel taskmaster.

The year she turned 18 was the year that she was to be sent to her new owner, a man with a greater reputation for malice than her previous owner. Nevertheless, Khione kissed her mother goodbye, knowing this would be the last time they’d ever see each other. She boarded the ship she was directed to and tried not to dwell on the trepidation that lay like a weight in her heart. The journey was set to be a long one, and Khione had nothing to fill her time other than listen to the mournful cries of her fellow offshoot prisoners. Many had not yet accepted their fate; their futures lay within any of the countless mines which had already claimed so many of their offshoot brethren. The wailing of a child could often be heard from deep within the recesses of the ship, its cries quickly muted by the breast of its mother. The loss was a small one, however, as the infant’s wails served only a small part in the din of the ship.

Days quickly turned into weeks, and Khione charmed her way into being allowed to roam about the ship. She was always chained around her leg, but that didn’t stop her from soaking in the illusion of freedom and basking in the smell of air that was free of sickness and misery. On her first day outside the hold one crewmember in particular caught her eye. His brown hair and ruddy complexion set her heart fluttering within her chest, causing her to behave in ways she never had before. Khione found herself searching for the green-eyed pirate on each trip to the deck. She couldn’t help but hope for his notice, for him to meet her questing eyes and smile. She had seen him smile once, and had had to turn away lest he notice her staring. And notice he did; for one morning, while Khione watched him, the green-eyed man happened to glance her way and catch her creeping closer. The man befriended her, and Khione learned what it meant to be acknowledged. Adam made the cramped hold seem bearable, and gradually gave her a happiness that she had never known.

He saved her. With him she became someone else, someone with a future besides slavery. And then finally, he rescued her and her imaginings became reality. She was no longer a slave, but a powerful force user. She could control weather patterns and predict the weather, and was given the choice of continuing with her Jedi training at the Temple of Coruscant. She chose to follow Adam once more and join him in the Agricultural Corps. They were married a year later. Life on the farm was peaceful, and Khione was content in her marriage with Adam. The tranquility was shattered, however, when Coruscant was taken in the war against the One Sith. Both Khione and Adam were called into battle.

[member="Sirella Valkner"] Thanks! I love mythology.

[member="Valeria Aetani"] Thank you. :) I haven't organized a master for her since she's a member of AgriCorps.

[member="Sirella Valkner"], Please tell me you are back?

[member="Khione Gardner"], Very nice. As said before the reference to the Goddess of snow is awesome. Even more so that you make her an Arkanian offshoot for the all white look. Hover the use of Jarael is nice. Wish I would have thought of this idea before hand.
