Major Locations

1. The Temple of the Twin Gods

  • A colossal temple, carved into the side of a frozen mountain, its entrance flanked by two towering statues of Kiev’arians crossing swords above the doorway. These figures represent Dra’ko, the God of Life and Creation, and Saurav’ix, the God of Death and War.
  • The temple is believed to be the resting place of the Twin Gods, though no evidence has ever been found to confirm this.
  • Warriors seeking to test themselves would enter the temple, but few ever returned.
  • Temple Features:
    • The Hall of Echoes – A vast chamber lined with engraved pillars, each bearing the names of past challengers who never returned. The whispers of the lost can still be heard faintly.
    • The Path of the Gods – A long corridor filled with stone statues of warriors locked in combat, rumored to be past challengers who failed their trials.
    • The Trial Chambers – Rooms said to be shaped by the gods themselves, changing for each challenger. Some feature searing flames, bottomless darkness, or spectral combatants.
    • The Sanctum of the Twin Gods – The innermost chamber, containing a great throne, upon which two colossal intertwined skeletons sit, frozen in place. Some claim these are the remains of the gods, others believe they are the first warriors to reach the end.

2. The Tomb of the Forgotten Kings

  • A colossal burial chamber, hidden deep beneath the frozen surface, containing rows of towering sarcophagi—each one belonging to an ancient Kiev’arian ruler.

  • The tomb was sealed long before the planet was cast into darkness, its entrance obscured by shifting ice and stone.

  • Some of the sarcophagi have been shattered, while others remain sealed, their occupants preserved in death as if they could wake at any moment.

  • Golden murals line the walls, depicting Kiev’ara’s greatest wars, but strange carvings have been added over time, telling an unfinished story no historian remembers.

3. The Hollow Spire

  • A massive, spiraling structure, once a grand observatory, now stands broken and abandoned, half-buried in ice.
  • The interior halls contain ancient star charts and faded records of Kiev’ara’s original location before it became a rogue planet.
  • Some sections of the Spire are still intact, though navigation is treacherous, with collapsed floors and crumbling stairways.
  • The uppermost chamber features a massive, cracked lens, once used to study celestial movements, now covered in frost.

4. The Rift of the Forsaken

  • A massive canyon, stretching for hundreds of kilometers, with sheer cliffs plunging into total darkness.
  • In ancient times, it was used as a place of exile, where criminals and disgraced warriors were cast into the abyss, never to return.
  • Some claim that strange figures can be seen moving in the darkness, though whether they are hallucinations or something real remains unknown.
  • The winds that rush through the Rift carry unnatural sounds, some resembling whispers, growls, or distant battle cries.

5. The Cradle of Kov’dra

  • A massive, abandoned quarry, where Kiev’arians once mined the legendary Kov’dra metal, known for its extraordinary durability and resistance to energy-based weaponry.
  • The cavernous mine shafts descend deep into the planet’s crust, where untouched Kov’dra veins may still exist.
  • Some areas of the Cradle have collapsed over time, making navigation hazardous, with unstable tunnels and bottomless pits.
  • Rumors speak of long-forgotten forges hidden in the depths, where Kiev’arian smiths once crafted their greatest armor and weapons.

6. The Frozen Citadel

  • A monolithic fortress, once serving as the last bastion of Kiev’ara’s rulers before the fall.
  • Its walls are tall and unyielding, though time and the elements have begun to wear them down.
  • The interior is partially collapsed, with grand halls buried under centuries of ice and rubble.
  • Within its ruins, some records and relics of Kiev’arian history may still remain, though reaching them is perilous.

7. The Ashen Wastes

  • A vast expanse of scorched and frozen terrain, where a great battle is said to have taken place before Kiev’ara’s fall.
  • The ground is littered with the frozen remains of warriors, still locked in combat, their weapons and armor now fused to their corpses.
  • Some structures remain standing, charred ruins of once-mighty strongholds, their walls blackened by fire and time.
  • The air is deathly still, with the occasional gust of wind stirring the frozen ash, creating an eerie, ghostly effect.

FORCE NEXUS

Intent:

To establish Kiev’ara as a unique Force-dead world, caused by the instantaneous extinction of all life when the planet's sun was consumed.

Nexus Alignment:

None (Force-Dead Zone) – The planet is an absolute void where the Force does not exist.

Size:

Planetary – The entire planet is engulfed in the severance, making it one of the largest known Force-dead locations in the galaxy.

Strength:

Absolute – No Force ability, artifact, or technique can restore the Force here. It is completely cut off, a true void in the galactic flow.

Effects:

Force Users:

  • Experience an immediate and complete severance from the Force, as if their connection was violently severed upon arrival.
  • Abilities such as telekinesis, mind tricks, precognition, and healing do not function under any circumstances.
  • Extended exposure leads to:
    • Disorientation, nausea, and vertigo, as their bodies struggle to adjust to the absence of the Force.
    • Deep psychological distress, as if part of their very being has been torn away.
    • Some Jedi and Sith describe it as suffocating emptiness, while others claim it feels like "dying but remaining conscious."
  • As soon as they step off the surface (even onto a ship or hovering vehicle), their connection to the Force is instantly restored.
  • Many describe the sensation as drowning, feeling as though something fundamental has been stripped away while on the ground.

Non-Force Users:

  • Feel a profound emptiness, though they are less affected than Force-sensitives.
  • Report a constant sense of unease, as if something is missing from reality itself.
  • Technology functions normally, but devices that require Force energy, such as holocrons, kyber crystals, and Sith alchemy relics, remain inert and powerless.
  • Some experience mild auditory hallucinations—whispers that never fully form into words.

Kiev’arians:

  • Unlike outsiders, Kiev’arians do not feel the same overwhelming severance.
  • Though unable to use the Force, they experience "echoes" of the past in the following ways:
    • Faint whispers in the wind, speaking in fragments of the old Kiev’arian tongue.
    • Shadows moving in the distance, resembling warriors locked in battle.
    • Footsteps appearing in the snow where no one has walked.
    • Sudden warmth or sorrow, as if the world remembers them but does not fully recognize them.
  • The planet does not reject them the way it does others, but instead, it seems to be searching for something it lost.

POPULATION
  • Native Species: Extinct
  • Immigrated Species: None.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Origins: A World of Warriors and the Living Force

Kiev’ara was once a world of strength, wisdom, and unwavering spirit, the sacred home of the Kiev’arian Dragons. They were a people shaped by war, bound by honor, and deeply connected to the Living Force, believing themselves to be the chosen creations of Dra’ko, the God of Life, and Saurav’ix, the God of Death. Their civilization was one of towering cities carved into mountains, grand temples rising from fertile valleys, and citadels built to withstand the fiercest storms.

The Kiev’arians were not just warriors—they were guardians, scholars, and philosophers. Their warriors trained endlessly, their scholars recorded history with meticulous care, and their spiritual leaders guided the people in worship and discipline. The Temple of the Twin Gods, standing at the heart of the planet, was the holiest of all places, where warriors would go to test their worth in brutal trials. Only those deemed worthy could leave.

For thousands of years, Kiev’ara flourished, its people thriving under the guidance of their gods. But peace would not last forever.

The Rakatan Invasion: The Battle for Freedom

The Rakatan Infinite Empire, in its insatiable hunger for power, turned its gaze toward Kiev’ara. The planet’s deep connection to the Force made it a target unlike any other, a source of power the Rakata could exploit for their war engines and dark experiments.

At first, the Kiev’arians fought back with all their might. Their warriors, trained in both martial and Force techniques, waged war against the Rakatan invaders. Entire cities became fortresses, and the great mountains and valleys were turned into battlegrounds. The Kiev’arians, though fierce and relentless, were outmatched by the Rakata’s superior technology and dark sorcery.

The war raged for decades, with countless Kiev’arians enslaved, tortured, and forced into experimentation. The Rakata sought to harness the Force-rich nature of their bodies, twisting them into fuel for their starships and weapons. But despite these horrors, the Kiev’arians never surrendered. Entire clans perished rather than kneel. The fighting grew so intense that even the Rakata, despite their overwhelming power, began to see Kiev’ara as a cursed place, its people too strong-willed to ever truly break.

In a final act of defiance, the Kiev’arians launched a desperate counterattack against Rakatan strongholds, targeting their enslavers with coordinated strikes that shattered supply lines and weakened their foothold. This rebellion, though small compared to the might of the Infinite Empire, was one of the fiercest the Rakata had ever faced.

The Rakata, unwilling to waste any more resources on the Kiev’arians, made a fateful decision: if they could not rule the planet, they would erase it.

The Cataclysm: The Death of Kiev’ara

For centuries, the Kiev’arians resisted the rule of the Rakatan Infinite Empire, refusing to be broken under the weight of their cruel masters. Their home was not just a planet; it was a sacred world, a being of its own, woven deeply into the Living Force. The Kiev’arians were its children, their very existence intertwined with the energies of the planet itself, and they fought not just for their survival, but for the soul of Kiev’ara. But resistance came at a price. As the Rakata grew frustrated with the sheer defiance of the Kiev’arians, they made a choice not of conquest, but of annihilation. If the Kiev’arians would not serve, they would not be allowed to exist at all.

The Star Forge was turned upon the system, not to strip Kiev’ara of its resources, but to erase it from history. With an unnatural hunger, the machine drained the energy of the system’s sun, collapsing it into nothingness, smothering its light and warmth in an instant. The sky darkened as the last rays of sunlight vanished, and in the abyss that followed, the people of Kiev’ara understood that their world had been condemned to death. But even then, in the final moments of their world, they fought. They battled the Rakatan forces even as the heavens were swallowed by eternal night. The sky, once painted in brilliant shades of blue and gold, turned black, leaving only the piercing cold and the cruel, distant stars that watched from above, unfeeling and silent.

Then came the shockwave. When the sun collapsed, the backlash of energy raced outward like a tidal wave of death. The force of it struck the planet’s surface with such immense fury that it ripped the very atmosphere from Kiev’ara’s body, peeling it away in great howling tempests that raged for mere moments before fading into the void. The wind was the first thing to go, followed by the clouds, and then the very breath in the lungs of those who still lived. The sky was left utterly barren, devoid of color, of movement, of even the faintest whisper of air. The world had been suffocated.

Without the warmth of its sun, Kiev’ara began to die. The rivers, once shimmering with luminescent waters, froze in an instant, locking entire ecosystems beneath layers of ice. The great forests, towering emerald canopies that had stood for millennia, cracked and shattered, their branches turned to brittle crystal in the plummeting cold. Mountains, once homes to grand temples and strongholds, crumbled as their foundations split apart from the rapid shift in temperature. The cities, once alive with music, culture, and the ceaseless heartbeat of a thriving people, fell silent as their inhabitants perished in the sudden, merciless void.

Kiev’arians, so deeply connected to their world, felt their home dying in their very bones. Their bodies, which had always resonated with the pulse of the planet’s Force energy, were now like hollow vessels, drained of something intrinsic. Many warriors, refusing to give the Rakata the satisfaction of victory, charged into battle with what little breath remained in their lungs, their weapons raised in one final act of defiance, their frozen bodies collapsing before their blades could even reach their enemies. Others gathered in the ancient halls of their temples, gripping their loved ones as the cold took them, seeking solace in their last moments. The elders, the wisest among them, raised their voices in desperate prayer to their gods, Dra’ko and Saurav’ix, calling for salvation, for vengeance, for anything—only to be met with silence.

As the last Kiev’arian fell, something happened that had never occurred before in all the history of the galaxy. Kiev’ara, a world so deeply woven into the Force, suddenly and violently severed its connection. The death of its people had not just ended their civilization—it had erased the very presence of the Force from the planet itself. A scar, deeper than any physical wound, was left in its wake, a void where once there had been life and power. Across the galaxy,

The planet itself drifted away from its original path, unanchored by the sun that had once held it in orbit. Now, it wandered through the void, an unlit graveyard adrift in the darkness of space. What was once a world teeming with power and life had become something wholly unnatural—a Force-dead world, untouched by the energies that bound the galaxy together. It had become something the Force itself had abandoned.

Yet, for those who dared to set foot upon Kiev’ara, the world was not as empty as it seemed. Though the Force was severed, something ancient remained, something that remembered. To all others, the planet was cold, lifeless, and unfeeling. But to a Kiev’arian—if ever one were to return—there was a whisper in the windless void, a faint tremor in the frozen ground, a presence not of the Force, but of something older, something deeper. A planet that had once called them its children had been left orphaned in the dark, but it had not forgotten. And it would never welcome outsiders in its place.

Heya Laphisto Laphisto - I'll be looking at this one, though please bear with me. As I'm a trainee, this will require a second approval after my own.

Really cool planet. Spooky and tragic! I'd love to explore this IC sometime.

Some things we would require amending/fleshing out before we can accept this:
  • Links: In the Links section you've said these will be added. We will need these links to be in place before we can approve; alternatively please put N/A if there are none.
  • Atmosphere: As there is no atmosphere on this planet, this will need to be listed as Type IV (which includes nonexistent atmospheres).
  • Please link to the Kiev'arian Dragons Codex submission due to their connection here.
  • Please link to the Star Forge and Infinite Empire Wookieepedia pages.

In terms of some suggestions that are not required and entirely optional, but may help with clarity:
  • Any further information on the Rift of the Forsaken might be helpful for other writers: Are these figures and sounds etc mere hallucinations, or something else?
  • Additional information on the language of the Kiev'arians may be helpful. You mentioned there are inscriptions of Ancient Draconic. Was this a spoken language by the natives? Any further information tying this to the planet and its natives could be useful for other writers.

Please tag me once the required amendments have been made :)

Everest Vale Everest Vale fixed the links and added for all required notions.

as for the suggestions to further explain the rift of the rift of the forsaken its mostly just hallucinations, though the world has a habit of trying to eliminate outsiders, so who knows, maybe the world might just conjure the trespassers deepest fear

for the language, its a long forgotten language, it was once spoken by the natives of the world and was carried on by them as they branched into the wider galaxy but with so few kiev'arians in the galaxy not many truly know or understand the language
