I'm Sorry Dave
- Intent: Specialised tool to combat droids/high-tech soldiers.
- Image Source: EMP RIFLE model 17 by Robert Ryminiecki
- Canon Link: N/A
- Permissions: N/A
- Primary Source: Electromagnetic Pulse Launcher
- Manufacturer: The Globex Corporation
- Affiliation: Globex Security Division
- Market Status: Open-Market
- Model: KIIR-17 'Redeemer' Anti-Droid Rifle
- Modularity: Significant; aesthetics, materials, extension (sniper mode), etc.
- Can be integrated into Stryders in place of their normal loadouts.
- Production: Mass-Produced
- Material: Hexaplast Compound
- Classification: Ion/EMP
- Size: Large
- Weight: Average
- Ammunition Type: Battery Pack or Visium Cell
- Ammunition Capacity: Small | ~50 Shots
- Effective Range: Average | Long Range
- Rate of Fire: Low | Very Low
- Damage Output: Very High
- Recoil: Low
- The Redeemer has various settings, most notably a bolt strength adjuster (runs the gamut from interfering with but not destroying civilian gadgets to frying a cyborg soldier's powered armour - and his pacemaker along with it) and a bolt integrity adjuster (increases range at the expense of firing rate and vice versa). Police models are especially likely to have safety features to avoid killing cyborgs/droids with rights.
- Enforced Primitivism: The Redeemer fires 'ionising electromagnetic pulse waves' able to incapacitate or destroy most forms of advanced technology on contact; it tends to perform admirably even against shielded circuitry, at least compared to the average blaster. Cybernetics covered by large amounts of organic tissue, such as brain or heart implants, are generally only fried on the highest settings, if at all.
- Unwashed Primitives: The Redeemer is entirely useless against foes wielding sufficiently primitive equipment, e.g., swords, sticks, and combustion-propelled munitions. Using these weapons on organics is likely unhealthy, or even carcinogenic, but not useful.
"WARNING: Failure to fulfil your obligations will result in termination of service, effective retroactively."

An obsession with innovation notwithstanding, the Globex Corporation's researchers know well that denying an enemy an advantage can be just as valuable as gaining one for oneself - and few things are, in their eyes, as advantageous on the field of battle as modern technology.
Designed to even the playing field (read: tilt it in the best-paying customer's favour), the Redeemer is famously effective against battle droids and the like but can be equally valuable when facing technologically advanced enemies - especially ones wearing heavy-duty powered armour.
