Killers in Kessel

Kessel has long since been abandoned, at least, so everyone thought. The old prison colony was in use again, a local pirate gang known as the Rorchek Ravagers has taken residence in the confines of the strangely shaped planet's atmosphere. And recently, had been raiding nearby ships, bringing back slaves to mine the valuable spice that made Kessel such a value oh so long ago.

One such unlucky soul was Dresden M'koor, wealthy politician and CEO of a small company back on Coruscant.

Waking up in his cell was strange, a cracking head ache which somehow he barely noticed, too confused and disoriented about where he was and what his purpose of being here was. It was only when an angry zabrak pirate was poking him with a blaster did he realize his situation " 'Ey! Wake up ye' lazy piece of poodoo!" were the words that greeted his throbbing head. He awoke in a grimy gray metallic room with an open barred door, a thick gaseous atmosphere of smog, barely breathable..

"What do you want.." He groans and then coughs as the atmosphere hits him before getting dragged to his feet and a pick-axe shoved to his chest "Oh.." And he was lead to the nearest spice and set to work. "Well.. I guess an escape is in order.." He murmured to himself when he was out of ear shot.

Never Underestimate a Good Bottle of Whiskey
Kerx was heading to Honoghr, a planet near Kessel, when he noticed some ships were following him. One on the left side and one on the right. A voice pirate's voice came out in an accent,

"Oi! You are crossin' pirate space! Follow our path or risk getting boarded!"

Strange. He thought. Kessel was considered nothing but a planet with holes, no workers no nothing. Just a rock sitting in space ready to die. How were there pirates nearby? Are they occupying Kessel or something? Whatever the reason, Kerx was not happy at all. He was getting mad. He pushed the red button to deploy communication back to one of the pirates' ships.

"The name's Whispering Death, ever heard of me? If you know well enough, then you might wanna stop your ships and cease following me if you know better."

The pirate's voice came back on, yelling.

"Nobody talks to us like that! You better be ready. Because we are coming in!"

The pirates shot at Kerx's ship, the bounty hunter was ready to dip so he boosted the engines and went as fast as he could. But that didn't get the pirates off of him. They were still shooting. After about 2 minutes, his ship could not take anymore. Instead of blowing up, it was disabled. Thank god. Kerx got up from his seat and got his pistol from his cloak. He heard loud machinery. They were boarding, and he knew exactly where. He was climbing down the ladder from his cockpit and readied his weapon. They had a boarding craft and were planning to enter through one if his escape pods into the ship. From the sound of it it was the left one and so Kerx aimed down at that hatch. The door opened with pirates and blaster fire coming out. Kerx dodged the oncoming fire and aimed for a short pirate with a rifle. It was a direct hit to the chest. The pirate let out a scream and dropped to the floor. When the mercenary aimed for another pirate, he was hit in the shoulder. He was on his right knee, grabbing his right shoulder with his left hand. Damn, he was outnumbered. He knew better. Luckily his shoulder guard deflected the blast, but the force of it stung bad. The pirates ceased fire and surrounded him. Then The Whispering Death heard laughing. It was the pirate he talked to before this all happened. A tall gray weequay stepped in between two pirates and was now crouching in front of the mercenary.

"That wasn't so hard huh? Pretty easy if you ask me!" He spat. "What do you have hiding underneath this mask?"

The pirate took off Kerx's mask to reveal a scarred and deformed face.

"You will regret doing that" The Whispering Death through grinded teeth.

The weequay laughed once more and stood up. He waved his hand and before Kerx knew it he was knocked out.

Kerx woke up in a cell, with no mask on and no blaster. He had his clothes on and everything thank goodness. He was next to someone in the cell who was also captured. A man who looked like a politician from the look of his hygiene. Kerx was not in the mood to talking... ever. So he stayed silent until pirates came to his and the other man's cell. The pirates dragged both of them, gave them pickaxes, and forced them into a mine to extract spice. He heard the politician say something, but Kerx was too focused on planning on how to get out of this mine and back to his ship....
