SPECIAL FEATURES

• Kinetic Redistribution: Through manipulation of the host elements, Kinesium is able to distribute kinetic energy between the molecules in the metal, offering a stellar defense against kinetic weaponry, both ranged and melee
• Energy Dissipation: Kinesium also dissipates focused bursts of energy, such as blaster rounds, resulting in minimal damage.
• Heat Resistant: As a side effect of the Energy Dissipation, Kinesium has high heat tolerance.

Strengths:

• Lightweight: Kinesium is a rather light material, making it ideal for armor production
• Kinetic Redistribution: Kinesium can dissipate kinetic energy between molecules, meaning that sharp, focused strikes are far less effective.
• Energy Dissipation: Kinesium can dissipate heat energy between molecules, preventing high intensity flashes of heat from melting the armor.

Weaknesses:

• EMP/Ion: The Energy Dissipation only works against high-intensity, focused bursts of energy. A low intensity wave, such as EMP/Ion will pass unimpeded.
• Lightsabers: While the Energy Dissipation aspect will offer some lightsaber Defense, it is not impervious to lightsabers. Continued contact with a lightsaber blade can and will completely dissolve sheets of Kinesium
• Kinetic Redistribution: The Kinetic Redistribution only works against focused bursts of kinetic energy. An overwhelming force (Such as a fall), will induce more kinetic energy than the molecules can disperse, passing through to the wearer.

DESCRIPTION
After the events of Eshan, Voph sought to explore anti-kinetic armorings, as his own personal suit offered little to no resistance to the infamous Mandalorian Ripper rounds. Though he experimented with a number of compounds and elements, Voph was not able to find a suitable candidate. After establishing Vylmiran Technological Industries, Voph renewed his interest in the project.

The team assigned to the creation of this material stumbled across a unique interaction between Durasteel and Impervium that resulted in a lightweight alloy with high resilience against kinetic strikes. This, along with the other aspects of the material, are the result of the molecules in the material allowing the transfer of energy, redirecting it away from the point of impact. The overall result is a lightweight material perfect for armoring when sticks and stones are a valid concern...
