DESCRIPTION
Kinetic Energy Bombardment spikes are the ammunition for a weapon which will be submitted soon capable of launching them from orbit. The idea is to cause localized earthquakes. These would have greater chance of being able to pass through planetary defense shields and would make an excellent went in planetary warfare. Unfortunately the size of these weapons mean that they are not practical to have on board in most ships regularly and are kind of a specialized weapon.

I need the link to the accepted company, not the marketplace

[member="Lily Kuhn"] I am actually going to be subbing a separate sub for the weapon itself and then a starship fitted for it. This is just the ammo. The reason for this is that other types of orbital spikes may be added.

The ranged weapon template must be used for anything that has an area of effect, like a grenade, or a massive pillar being dropped onto a planet that has a ranged effect.

Add the ranged weapon template to the submission.

Remove this. I understand the purpose of orbital bombardment rods, but we're not approving things which specify the damage they're going to do.

I'm not approving a submission with two Extreme ratings at minor production. If you want to drop the range to Very High or the Stopping Power to Very High, feel free.

by disrupting the tectonic plates of the area.
This would cause planetary devastation, or at least damage to anything on the tectonic plate (i.e; an entire continent). Certain superweapons have done this in canon, but superweapons are banned. Remove this specific quoted text.

I also want to make it perfectly clear that if this is used in RP to try and destroy a wide swathe of land, in an attempt to wipe out large numbers of troops and harm PCs, that this will be reported, pulled, and retroactively denied much faster than the approval process we're going through right now due to the potential for unavoidable damage here. So if your intent is to use this as a nuclear option in RP, I suggest you rethink that and plan to use it only in a way acceptable by the other people you end up writing with before using it.
