- | Phase Shifting | Kineticite is an oddity as far as its form goes once converted into an aqueous state. When it detects and reacts to approaching energy, it stiffens and hardens into a solid form, but when this solid form reacts with kinetic energy it absorbs the kinetic force and fractures, returning back to its liquid state.

DESCRIPTION
Kineticite is a naturally formed crystal found on the planet Mygeeto, where miners first discovered it in deep in crystal caverns. Immediate study of Kineticite on Mygeeto found it to be an incredibly brittle and rather inert crystal, but once applied with heat, it became intriguing and rather odd. Kineticite can be converted into a semi-liquid state that reacts to most forms of energy, hardening in the presence of energy, but not reverting back to its crystalline state where it is practically useless. When its hardened solid state has kinetic force applied to it, it fractures and disperses the energy, reverting the solid fragments back into its aqueous state. The only time Kineticite can return to its crystalline form is when it is exposed to extremely cold temperatures in an instant.
Applications for Kineticite have been found to be numerous, though the most common purpose found for it was to be made into a thermal gel-like form of protection that can absorb and protect anything lying underneath with great effectiveness and little harm. Another interesting finding that researchers discovered that Kineticite also produced energy as a byproduct, mostly in electrical form that could be harnessed and used. This makes it effective in armor systems as a means of being able to supercharge shield systems and get them back online faster should a person wearing Kineticite gel armor be struck. This energy can also be used in numerous different applications, both offensive and defensive.
