WORKSHOP INFORMATION
Workshop Name: Kista’s Workbench
Location: The location of her workshop is anywhere she is that has the necessary tools to do the job.
Specialty: Taking what people would call junk and fixing it or making a new item out of it. When it comes to salvaging and making stuff Kista makes it happen. She has had little option otherwise living on the apocalyptic world of Mandalore.
Tier: (How skilled is your Workshop?) Kista’s Workbench is currently a Tier 1. It is a very small Workshop; it has no support or influence in the galaxy. Well the only support or influence is she sometimes takes already created items and converts or modifies it to her needs.
DESCRIPTION
One day her workshop could be a kitchen table. Maybe if she is lucky it could be an old forge that somehow survived the cataclysm of Mandalore. Her location depends greatly on what she can fix, modify, or sometimes forge new things. The availability of items is a huge factor as well. She does not have the option of going down to the local store and buying anything she needs. If she needs twenty five feet of cooper wiring she can’t just looked it up on a holonet, pay for it, and then have it shipped to her. She has to go out and hunt for the items. It could take days or sometimes weeks. She has to pass over unforgiving terrain, not get eaten by wild nasty hungry beasts, and if she encounters any other survivors she have to defend herself. Currently there is no galactic credit value to this workshop. It is about survival!
RATIONALE
The day that Mandalore became fire, ash, and deserts, it became a harsh and unforgiving world. Plant life was mostly all gone. Well at first all of the plant life withered away from chocking ash clouds of volcanoes. Most animals died off that could not find a way to not suffocate or find food. Nature does find a way but natural food was scare to find on current Mandalore. You could not grow your own food or go down to a water source and find clean water.
There were no stores where you could go buy food. If there was any resources left you had to hunt for it. You had to fight daily just to find a way to live. You needed shelter. You needed heat. You needed cloths and food. You had to find ways to clean your water before you drank it. Sometimes you could find bottled water. That was rare though. There were things that wanted to eat you and people who wanted your stuff. If you wanted more ammunition you had to either find it or make your own ammunition. When you fired your weapon you pick up every shell. When you needed more black power, you find the resources and make some more.
If you needed simple pain medication or drugs that helped you heal, you either found it or found the resources to make more. Sometimes your equipment breaks down. Let’s face it. Items you have and you need, they can still break down and sometimes they need to be repaired. You need the item so going without is not an option. Your only option is to fix it.
Kista’s workshop was formed out of the necessity of survival. She needed things in order to continue to live. When it came down to it she only had herself to rely on. Either you fought on or you were snuffed out of existence.
