The Spyke Drone is a type of battle droid made by Kulthis Manufacturing. Serving as Kulthis Manufacturings first venture into the use of CCIR technology. These drones operate in swarms, attacking the enemy with unbearable numbers. Each of these swarms is controlled by a central computer. From this computer, commands are sent to the controlled swarm near-instantaneously from a remote location. The computer must be at least within the same system of the swarm in order to function properly so each swarm comes with it's own system that can be inserted seamlessly into any ship's or surface installation's systems.
As previously stated, these drones operate in swarms to overwhelm the enemy. Spykes move at incredible speeds, whipping through the air and unleashing a barrage of light blaster bolts at their targets. It's been noted that this strategy is easily countered by quite a bit, however these shortcomings have proven to be minuscule in comparison to the effectiveness of the Spyke drones.
