DESCRIPTION
It was not the easiest or most appealing task the Olympian Armorsmiths ever received - creating protection for a Force user. It was not only going against their ideology, it was in their eyes a waste of resources as those individuals would be eliminated either way, sooner or later. Why would you equip the future enemy? So they was quite a lot of convincing to be done from the side of the Hegemon to get the Forgemasters on this special demand.
The outcome of the design was a pretty much refurbished armor, taking the style of the original Knights but updating materials and support systems alike. The goal was to create a half-plate armor with a supportive weave underlay which could be worn over a bodyglove and connected to it. Adding certain systems and a personal shield-generator was meant to make the new Knights battlefield ready, increasing their survivability. The plates were quite light and thin, to support quick and optimum movement and agility, while providing a good amount of protection.
One demand from the Forgemasters which had to be met, was a remote control for both the shield-generator and reactor. It was an unknown feature, only aware to the Hegemon, the Imperators of the Grand Legion and those of the highest circle of government. The generator could be turned off as well as the reactor overloaded, eliminating the wearer in an explosion. It was a fail-safe should a Knight grow too powerful or step out of line. This though would not only affect the wearer, but the entire unit. It was meant to exclude the possibility of witnesses carrying away this failsafe to other knights.
A condition to be met by the Hegemon was that the armor was meant to make even one Force sensitive of very low midichlorian count at least combat-worthy against other Force users who had a stronger focus on the quality and strength of their Force user warriors. The armor contained a Force crystals which would enhance the control abilities of the wearer, making them able to augment their body more efficiently and wither less exhaustion while doing so, allowing them to keep up on reflexes, speed and strength with stronger Force users.
