Knighting of Vulpesen

After a long time training, Vulpesen would have been taught the pillars of being a Jedi. One of which would be the foundations of the Force and to not give into the temptation of the dark side. Another would be know as much as one can about the galaxy and its people to better assist them. The final pillar would have been self-discipline. As Daella taught it, she emphasized the necessity for a purity of will in order to execute ones goals with precision and how acting irrationally and wish emotions would only cause trouble.

The education overall should have laid the foundations for Vulpesen to grow in the Force and his abilities with it. While Daella never taught a Force power directly, she did stress that fortitude of the mind would open the doors Vulpesen wished to open.

After a mission, Daella had told @[member="Vulpesen"] to meet her at one of the highest points in the Tranquility Spire - the tallest spire of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Daella would have been waiting.

Vulpesen had taken each pillar into his knowledge, memorizing what they stood for as he was taught their values. Upon the final mission, Vulpesen found curiosity at his master's words. He'd never trained there before, and the sense of it seemed a bit strange. Never the less, he arrived soon after his master with his usual punctuality. He figured that his robes would be appropriate for the occasion, for although he was unsure what the meeting was about, the location seemed to hold a feeling of sacredness.

Once @[member="Vulpesen"] arrived at the designated meeting spot, Daella turned to her Padawan. She greeted him with a shallow bow with her right hand hovering over her heart.

How do you feel about your training so far, Vulpesen?” asked Daella.

Vulpesen returned a similar bow out of respect. His master had pushed him to his limits, and had brought him new views on the force, things that he relished and was sure that would make his future goals much easier to accomplish. "It has been interesting, testing, and wonderful Master." After being trained by so many temporary teachers on his way to the temple, Vulpesen found the training of a Jedi to be the most demanding and enjoyable. The only time that seemed to rival this was what he had learned back when he was at home and looking back, he realized just how far he had come. @[member="Daella Apparine"]

"You've learned a lot, @[member="Vulpesen"]," claimed Daella, "You're ready for a new stage of your life as a Jedi."

Turning to the double doors into the Hall of Knighthood, Daella then said, "Walk through."

Inside the Hall of Knighthood, it would have been pitch black and impossible to see. Daella would have followed Vulpesen and pull her white hoodie over her head. Her Padawan would have been unable to see this, though.

In the shadows was a presence familiar to @[member="Daella Apparine"], but perhaps one a little less familiar to @[member="Vulpesen"].... Jedi Master and Council Member Josh DragonsFlame stood at the end of the Hall Of Knighthood, waiting for a worthy Jedi Padawan to make his way there...

A smirk crossed his face as he could sense the two... Master and Padawan. He waited, his hood over his head and face as he watched through the Force as they made their way into the hall...

Vulpesen silently entered the hall. He'd studied much of the Jedi history, but he still found it hard to accept the likely fact and the evidence of a knighting ceremony. As he entered the darkness, he was able to sense the masters through the force. @[member="Daella Apparine"] being easily sensed over all others, and @[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"], though the two rarely saw each other and hadn't officially met, he was still able to recognize the master's unique presence.

As soon as @[member="Vulpesen"] reached a certain point, a circle of lightsabers ignited. Daella stood behind Vulpesen with her own yellow blade illuminating her face. A portion of the Hall of Knighthood lit up, with the blades clearly showing the Padawan at the center of this circle. @[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"] would have stood before Vulpesen.

A ripple of surprise moved through Vulpesen as he witnessed the circle of blades. It was a new scene to him, and his wonder flowed through him. He waited for the request to step forward, but stood still. His training had taught him patience and he exercised this, refusing to move a muscle until spoken to. This was a time of reverence, and it would not be disrupted by the hasty excitement that swirled within him. @[member="Daella Apparine"] @[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]

DragonsFlame ignited his lightsaber to fill the circle. The dark blue blade hummed in the air as he pointed it toward @[member="Vulpesen"].

"Step forward, Padawan" DragonsFlame finally called out in a firm voice. The Jedi Master had changed since being promoted, it seemed... There was no evidence of intimidation at his new duties, no nerves, no butterflies... He was doing something he loved, and he was fully capable now of doing it seriously.

He watched through the Force as he waited for the Padawan to step forward...

Vulpesen moved forward and knelt before @[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]. His lightsabers peeked from under his robes, the fox heads gleaming in the light of the lightsabers, while Vulpesen silently thank the stars that he had split the saber staff in two. For him it seemed to show the balance that he fought for. For him, the lightside would prevail, and he had learned the evils of the dark, but for everything in between, he would finally be able to learn with this new title to push him forward. @[member="Daella Apparine"]

"Kneel" DragonsFlame commanded firmly as he stepped forward. As @[member="Vulpesen"] kneeled before him. Josh stepped forward, lightsaber drawn. He lowered the lightsaber near @[member="Vulpesen"]'s head... But not near enough to bring him any harm.

"You have served the Jedi Order well, young Padawan" he began. "You have shown the commitment, the dedication, the willingness to learn, and the strength needed to truly become a Jedi" he said.

"Before we proceed... I must ask you one boon, young Padawan..." he said quietly. "Recite, to me, and to Master Apparine, the Jedi Code. A code of honor that Jedi for generations have studied, read and lived by"

@[member="Daella Apparine"]

Vulpesen's voice was strong, having been developed by his time at auctions and selling things over crowds, then being further fueled by his zeal for the Order.
"There is no emotion, there is peace.
There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.
There is no passion, there is serenity.
There is no chaos, there is harmony.
There is no death, there is the force."
As he spoke, Vulpesen allowed the force to flow around him. He resided in it and would learn its secrets till the day he died, and this was the moment that it all began for him.

He smiled. "Good" he said calmly.

"As of this day, your days as a Jedi Padawan... Are over" he proclaimed.

"As of today, you are now an honorary Jedi Knight" he said. And suddenly, with a flourish, a flash in the dark, Josh suddenly leaped into the air, like a blur, slashing his lightsaber through the air toward @[member="Vulpesen"]....

The lights came on as Josh landed on his feet on the ground in front of him. Suddenly, Vulpesen's Padawan braid fell to the ground, sliced in half. Josh picked up the remains of the braid and made a motion for the new Knight to hold out his hands.

As it was done, Josh placed the pieces of the braid in the Knight's open hands and smiled.

"Congratulations, Knight" he said. "You are now an honorary member of our Order... Wear that title well. Wear that title with pride. Never forget what you did to get to this point. And of course... May the Force be with you"

He gave Daella a respectful nod before walking out of the room, deactivating his lightsaber.

@[member="Daella Apparine"]

Vulpesen stood still as Joshua leaped over him, trusting in the master's aim as he heard his hair part and fall to the ground. Turning around he held out his hand for the braid, accepting it gladly. As @[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"] e spoke, Vulpesen felt his pride, swelling up within him, fueled by the words of the master.

As Joshua left, he stood up and turned to his own master, @[member="Daella Apparine"]. With a shallow bow, Vulpesen showed his respect and gratitude before turning and moving to walk out of the hall. Though he had finally reached the rank he had striven for, he now had one more title to secure.
