Knights Obsidian is now live!
Over the last few weeks, you all have given staff tremendous feedback on the state of the Faction. One of the most consistent things that was brought to our attention, by members and prospects alike, was the fact that we don't seem all that Neutral. For one, we have a Sith Lord as the head of state, Dark Acolytes, and Witches - not exactly the most neutral place to be, especially when you're a Light Sider or otherwise. So we went to the drawing board and had a couple of options:
1. We drop the Neutral alignment and go full Dark Side.
2. We change nothing and double down on what we have.
3. We add make a home for the Neutrals and really strive to own that label.
Pretty much we ended up choosing option 3, but as we built the concept for what would become the Knights Obsidian, we decided to take a "less is more" approach. Instead of making yet another group and juggling it alongside the Mandragora and Dark Acolytes, we are instead opening up the latter to accept both sides of the spectrum. This is not a retcon and will be undertaken during our Relovian Dominion this week.
So, now that we have this change published, I decided to put together a Q&A so that I can answer what may not have been explicitly listed in the Info Thread.
Q: For kark's sake this is the thirtieth time you've changed things? Is this going to change next month?
No. This change was made with the understanding that this is it. What you're looking at is the final version of the CIS.
Q: How do the Mandragora and Knights interact? How can they be roommates? Do I have to pick one
The Mandragora is a religion. Anyone can carry their religion with them into their job. Likewise, anyone can be marked by the spirits and work in other divisions. However, it is only when the Mandragora becomes a job that the Pick One Rule applies - much like how working for a Buddhist Temple becomes one's occupation and not a weekly devotional.
