Knights Shield

[Orihime Ike]

Orihime was excited, she had been given the trials to reach knighthood the first of her sisters, the one with the most promise or so she told herself because Hanna's daughter her step sister was still in diapers... so didn't have to try and impress her when she was roaming around. Taking up some of the equipment in the lab. The shielding amulet was there and they had been working on it still to better integrate the standard shielding tech with the talisman for a duel layer of protection.

There was a lot of work going into the things, the shielding amulets for the jedi worked to stay attached to them. With a few things the jedi knight... something she was still proud to get for herself when she stayed with a few things. She stayed here while holding one of the amulets and looking at the shielding they had along the underside of it. She ran her fingers while they were getting more of the amulet set up to use the shield they had recovered from raxus.

Orihime raised her arm up while she was sliding into the micromesh gloves for artisan's to get a better feeling the the materials they were working on and shaping to use. Finding the small imperfections on the surface where tey needed to work and smooth them. it wasn't perfect but with the gloves and with the equipment they were ablle to really push forward the advanced of the artisan's and the tech division itself. Her mothers goals and plans overall improving the lives of many more people while she got some new things to wear out of it.

She thought about her battle in the desert and had she not been wearing the meshed robes her mother had made her that throwing nife would have done a lot more damaged then just scratching and cutting some of the dreamsilk in the robe. The girl she had fought had been cute also thinking about it but it was a shame she was all darkside and death to the jedi give in. When that corruption hits her it is going to be a be wake up call compared to some of the others. She reminded her of Valae a little and her broken butt.

Hahaha she still grinned thinking about that and had a few other ideas to go along with it while she was wearing her robe and put the amulat on her shoulder. Like an armband she could use that was on display easier to touch and use. She could hear the low level whirring from the shield as it activated and wrapped around her form with the others they were working on. For some of the things they could do as the jedi was moving. Into the testing area and feeling the force energies flow through her body when she used it to charge the amulet.

The testing of the amulet was one fo the things that would prove the most interesting to her at least. They were making some efforts and some of the bigger things now as she rolled her shoulders going over it in her head. Orihime watching the droid appearing with blasters and training sabers so she could test it with a sharp intake of breath to resist the urge she was going to feel to dodge or defend against it. Because this isn't about how skilled she could be with her saber to defend it was how well she could take a strike to the shield and keep going.

Orihime stood there ready for it, a test of wills and a battle of wits as she was standing there with the droids prepared and taking aim at her as the voice came over the intercom speakers for them. "Droid make ready, take aim and prepare to fire." She was ready for any of the things they had while one of the droids had a saber at the ready. His saber prepared to slash her when she braced herself for the impact with a look of determination on her face. "Lets go." Staying at it redy for anything that could come from it.

She stood there as the shield worked, energy coming towards her while she stood there and felt her face flinching from the impact on the shield while it went across the surface of the shield. Boiling and making the shield shimmer to give it a look. She felt her shoulder jerk back before pushing forward again and raising her hands in fear of the strike when it impacted against her forearms looking at the droid before she was watching it reel back then strike again and she focused to keep the shield up despite feeling a little uncomfortable.

She could the impact all over, she could feel the pressure from the amulet as the one shield gave out and the other was left there but it was all part of the testing they were doing. Improving upon the origianl designs just enough and adding in the shield along the armband so that it would be better able to protect the more jedi who wanted to use it. Orihime was happy to helpt he tech division and her mother out with the work itself though when she smiled to herself nervously trying to stay there glad for stun settings on blasters and weapons. Slugs were not even an option with energy based shields while she remained there ready.

The engineers came out when the droids ran out of ammo and the hours of testing the shield came to an end. She had rested several times and changed the power packs so the shields would be better able to properly work instead but it was a tricky thing. On the one hand she did know the effects it could have while ttapping her fingers to await the results with the one engineer to hear if it was good, repeatable and manufacturable. All going well in her mind so she could take her own for herself and wear it. "This is all looking good, we'll have things sent to your mother knight Ike and you should have some of these for your team.
