Koda has a spunky spirit and is always energetic. She is always one to look on the bright side of things and appreciates the small things that come her way. She does hold a grudge against Sith alike all Jedi, but she treads closer to the Dark Side than you would think. Her anger is something that is hard to control, but she fights to stay on the light side. Her past is a factor which can bring her down at times.

Biography:
Koda was born to parents that were only there for four years of her life. Katie Starship was a sorceress, that controlled powers to water, ice and snow. She married a Jedi by the name of Jason Berus. He was also one to tread close to the Dark Side, but not as close as Koda would once she reached her teen years. She also had an older brother, named Zack. He is 7 1/2 years older than her and also wielded the force.
When Koda was four, their parents were called in on an emergency due to a Sith with three apprentices, who had ambushed one of the family's friends and was starting to attack. By the time Koda's parents arrived, their friend was down one arm and multiple scratches. They held up for quite a while, but then all three of them were taken down. One of the Padawan's from the Temple had followed only to see Koda's and Zack's parents struck down. The teen had then fled back to the Temple to tell the Headmaster the news. The family's other close friend, Bryan had overheard and went to find the young kids to let them know about their parents.
The Jedi Knight had told Zack about his parents, while Koda as peaking around the corner without them knowing. Once she had heard the news, she ran back to her room, making sure she wouldn't slam the door, so they wouldn't find out and then she cried. Unknowingly, anger, fear and sadness had built in the young girl's heart and as she ran to jump up on her bed, she stopped in her tracks to see frost where she had stepped. Where it came from, she had no idea, but then she remembered her parents and her anger went on as she then accidentally used the force without knowing to send a ball flying across the room.
As a four year old, Koda was obviously confused and fear grew inside by the minute and then her brother along with Bryan came in. They two both noticed the frost on her floor and noticed one of her toy balls which were out of place. At this point, they knew that she knew and Zack was getting the feeling that Koda wasn't playing with that ball. He then pulled himself up onto her bed and pulled her closer, embracing her in a hug.
The next few years, Bryan took care of the children as his own. By the time Koda was 7, she decided to confront Bryan about it and see if he could help her. When she spoke of the ice and something that was making other things move, He explained that like Zack, she was a Jedi, a force sensitive and she took after her father who was a Jedi. He also told her about her mother who possessed ice magic, which she had inherrited too easily.
So Bryan had taught her and Zack what he knew and trained them hard, making sure they got as much knowledge as possible until their brains hurt. Their schedule was breakfast, training, lunch, training, dinner, meditating before bed. And that's how it was everyday.. until the worst thing possible happened once more. Bryan had been out to run some arands before he was attacked by a rogue force user who was once a Jedi. Before his last breath, he was able to contact the children and let them know that he couldn't be able to come back. He explained why with a heavy heart and tried to get to Zack during his protests claiming that Bryan never really truly cared about him and his sister. It was too late though.. as soon as he had gotten his message through, he was run through by the force sensitive and his body was left without a care.
So Zack had locked himself into his room for years and it was a fight to get him to come and eat. So while he was hiding in his room all of the time, Koda had gone out on the streets, trying to find ways to earn money. She would steal from the Sith and their Empire and leave a personalized mark signifying that she had been there. Troopers who roamed the streets, feared her, but made many attempts to capture her. They had succeeded three times, but no matter how tough they made it for her to escape, she did anyway. It wasn't really that hard of a task for her to do and sometimes, she'd have to fight them, because she would fall asleep on the streets after working a long day with as much energy as she put forth.
When Koda was 14, her brother was already a Jedi Knight. She had always wondered how and wondered how he already had a lightsaber. Anyway, he finally decided to come out one day without a fuss and told Koda to get into the speeder. He told her that they were going somewhere to help her so she'd be able to defend herself a little better than she had before. They then arrived at an old abandoned Temple. He told her to go inside and that he'd wait outside for her. So she did so and went through many things that would scare the average human being to death. But at the end, she received an ice blue Kyber crystal that split into two perfect crystals.
She then made her way out, showing her brother once she had and then they went home and guided her through putting together a lightsaber. Once she had everything she needed, she made a double bladed lightsaber, where the handles could be separated to make it into two lightsabers. Then one day, her brother was highly unusual and started fighting her. Once he got past her, he ran and she hadn't seen him since.
The next three years, Koda lived a secluded life and continued practicing her training in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, seeking refugee there for the last time before her next adventure..
