Species: Human-Dathomirian
Homeworld: Mandalore
Age: 23

TRAITS AND CHARACTERISTICS
(+) Witch: His father disliked Force Users, and never changed throughout his life, however Kode has an innate Force sensitivity attuned to the spirits and visions of the future and past.
(+) Mandalorian: Kode was raised Mandalorian, a culture that promotes violence and warfare from a very young age. He is what one would expect from a Mandalorian Warrior.
(-) Loner: Vizla doesn’t care about others, at least not unless they are providing him something he likes or can use. His relationships are built around this, and though he is able to feign human emotions for short periods of time, the young man is a sociopath and it will eventually come out to those near him.
(-) Whispers and Visions: Kode is plagued by visions granted to him by the Force, often tangled predictions and cryptic messages, whispers from spirits and beings in his sleep, and nightmares. This caused him to become callous and cruel, even sadistic in some instances, though he is not incapable of kindness. If fatigued he may suffer from visions or insistent whispers in combat or when heavily distracted.

The young man who would later be known as Kode was born on Mandalore to a Dathomirian Witch and a Mandalorian Warrior, both of whom were often at odds with one another. Supposedly at one point his father believed she would renounce her heritage to love him, and his mother believed that he would change and come to trust the Force as she did. Neither were correct and those star-crossed hopes were dashed amidst a storm of marital strife and disdain, each using their child as a tool to get at the other until they were finally split.
Their clashing cultures caused the family much strife in its early years, bringing up Kode with a difficult and disparaging childhood where he was often torn from one parent to the other. For his early years he would spend several months with his mother before being kidnapped or dropped into his father’s custody only to be left in the care of his aging grandfather, Rach Vizla.
Rach was never quiet about his beliefs, he was never vague. The Old Fang was already retired and living as a Gogi in the mountains of Concordia, mentoring young warriors while their parents were away. He continued to raise young Kode in the Mandalorian culture, but was never shy to say that he despised the child for his Force abilities. Kode was treated harshly throughout his childhood by his Grandfather and only rarely saw his father, who cared only that he be raised Mandalorian.
Throughout his youth, Kode struggled with tormenting nightmares, visions at inopportune moments, and whispers in his mind from the Force. His mother called them the spirits of Dathomir reaching out to advise him, however she did not realize that while on Mandalore they often advised evil and cruelty to the young boy. In order to provide him some control over the visions and whispers, she taught him to hone his Force abilities and suppress them as well as how to induce more potent visions. Her training was never completed and the young man still has more restless nights than proper sleep, leading him to turn to vices instead.
His only happy memories were the months he would spend with his mother on Dathomir until his father would find them and drag him back to Mandalore. He grew to hate his Father and Grandfather, but as he grew older he realized one thing had survived in the Vizla Bloodline. Family came first. Even though they were distant and despised him, any other that threatened him became objects of their wrath in swift measure, something he respected as a teenager even if he returned all their spite and disdain in equal measure.
Kode became a man and left them behind to live on Dathomir alone, his mother having died alone while he was trapped on Concordia with his grandfather, unable to return to her.
