STRENGTHS

  • System Sniper: The Kolit II's capital grade weapons all have long-range modes, which when coupled to targeting data provided by its Metis Sensor Array make it a fairly accurate sniper against distant targets even in heavily jammed battlefields.
  • Carrier: The Kolit II can carry a full four squadrons of fighters, making it a cost-effective way of getting starfighters onto the battlefield.
WEAKNESSES

  • Fixed Weaponry: Much of the Kolit's firepower is tied up in its Scythe II Spectrum Lasers, which have very limited elevation and transverse by themselves - much of the aiming is performed by pointing the ship at the intended target.
  • Low Maneuverability: The Ossis starship frame reinforces the prow against a little bit more damage, but this design also causes it to be a little bit more ungainly than many of its peers.
DESCRIPTION
The Kolit II is un upgraded version of the original Kolit-class Frigate, designed in many ways to follow in the lines of the Corona-class Frigate's evolution after the Nebulon-B. Designated a fleet frigate by Lucerne Labs, the Kolit II features some noticeable internal differences despite external similarity to its predecessor. Much of this has been an increase in automation to free up more space within the ship, as well as transitioning to the use of many micro-hangars found across the ship. These changes allow the Kolit II to carry a staggering four squadrons of starfighters, making it one of the more efficient ways to bring starfighters onto the battlefield. In battlefield practice, Directorate commanders typically flood an area with disposable droid fighters from the frigates, while advancing and firing onto the enemy with its long-range weapons. By the time the Kolit II often reaches the typical firing range of its enemy, its opponent is often destroyed or on its death throes.
