- Generates a gravity field to help reduce the speed of incoming missiles/projectiles.
- Creates an external pressure to an object, to push rather than pull.
- Tactical sensors, spatial body sensors and heuristic data processing allows the system to better push and slow projectiles down.
- Slow: Designed to slow/reduce the speed of incoming missiles/projectiles.
- Push: Pushes objects rather than pulls them, away from the installation.
- Time: Takes time to generate the field, and this is dependent on the size of the field being generated. [Can take up to three posts for 1000m fields]
The pressor mag-rail system was created as another agent to help slow or push projectiles away from the starship or station it is installed aboard. An automated response system that generates a pressor-grav field. Complete with its own power generator, the pressor mag-rail system can be activated during combat. It is not recommended to leave it running as it will begin to drain its own power generator and become reliant on the parent installation’s power.
Built with Star Destroyers in mind, the generator can generate a field with a radius up to 1000m. However, the larger the field the more power it needs, multiple generators would be required when lining it up along the center of the larger capital ships. Another drawback of the system is the slow start, as the field does not instantaneously appear. Rather it takes time to come online and generate the field, the larger the field the longer the start up time will be.
