+ Warrior: As someone taught in the martial arts of the Atrisians, as well as that expected of the Stormtrooper Corps, Captain Kotetsu is a formidable opponent when it comes to combat. In specifics, he trained for many years under the tutelage of a Yovshiin Master, learning the art of Jar’Kai.
+ Disciplined: As a result of the society he grew up in and the rigorous training under the Yovshiin, Kotetsu is a man with a sense of honor and discipline. This gives him a rather stoic appearance, seeking to wait patiently or play the long game in order to gain his goals.
+ Tactician: Under the First Order, Kotetsu learned how to be a great soldier and commander of troops. He has a great understanding of tactics and strategy that makes him effective on the battlefield.
[[WEAKNESSES]]
- Humanocentrist: Like many of the First Order, Captain Kotetsu holds strong beliefs in Humancentric rhetoric. He views aliens either as threats or as inferior to Humanity. He also views those who affiliate themselves with aliens as to be derided and reviled.
- Prideful: Kotetsu is immensely prideful over his heritage and prowess. This can cause him lapses in judgement where he occasionally underestimates his opponents.
- Vengeful: Do to a personal loss at the hands of rebels, Kotetsu shows little mercy toward anyone who labels themselves as a rebel or a traitor. So much so that most rebels captured under his command are executed.
[[PERSONALITY]]
Kotetsu comes off as a complicated individual. On one hand, he presents himself as a stoic, collected personality. In this way, he seems to be a master of controlling his emotions. On the other hand, there is an unforgiving ruthlessness when it comes to others of certain groups. Aliens, due to their strong association with rebellion, get his ire. Furthermore, he coldly executes captured rebels without much consideration.
[[BIOGRAPHY]]
Long ago, before he took the name Kotetsu, Hideyoshi Koga was an ordinary man of Atrisia. He was born into a clan whose ancestor was disgraced at the hands of an Ike Clan forebear. For this, the Koga have had an immense dislike of the Ike. Hideyoshi was expected to become a warrior under the tutelage of the Yovshiin. For years, he trained under his masters, becoming versed in the ancient art of Jar'Kai. It was during this time that he married and had a son. Life was happier then.
Once the First Order came to Atrisia, he was among those who quickly joined up in their Stormtrooper Corps. Any enemy to the Ike was an ally to him. Similarly, Hideyoshi's son, now a young man, joined alongside his father. The older Koga learned the ways of the First Order's military, quickly rising through the ranks. He was soon given the rank of captain, having control over his own squad.
Then the Ssi-Ruk Imperium broke the iron grip of the First Order, causing chaos across its territories. Atrisia was no different, as small rebellions started to beat back the First Order's presence. It was in one of these rebel attacks that his son and wife were killed. In his grief, Hideyoshi adopted a new name: Kotetsu, "ironclad", as his vengeance would be. In the absence of a central power in the territories, Kotetsu has resulted to warlordism in order to help reestablish the empire he served. He now roams the galaxy, clad in armor that fuses the Yovshiin armor of old with the First Order Stormtrooper, plated in a gunmetal finish.
[[EQUIPMENT]]
-His Yovshiin-inspired set of stormtrooper armor (seen above), complete with an armorweave cloak that denotes his captaincy
- A daisho pair, consisting of a katana and a wakazashi-style vibrosword, respectively. Expecting the eventual lightsaber-wielding opponent aiding the rebellion in former First Order space, Kotetsu has acquired Mandalorian iron to plate the blades in order to effectively combat a lightsaber.
