Strengths and Weaknesses
+ Force Immunity
All Yuuzhan Vong are immune to the Force, having moved from another galaxy, one absence of the mystical energy field, and as such, all members of the species are unable to be affected by its powers. This is no exception for Kra'nei, who also has inherited this useful trait. Although he has yet to come across a force-user, the War Master is confident that his genes will provide him with sufficient protection from any Force-based ability, not that he would need the protection to begin with.
+ Fierce Fighter
Kra'nei has been given advanced combat training, much like other warrior caste members in Vong culture. His training has allowed him to become proficient in various fighting stances, ranging from amphistaffs to razor bugs, Kra'nei was taught how handle each, excelling further than his peers at an advanced rate. Having earned the title of War Master already is evidence enough of his superior combat skills.
- Disapproval of Modern Mechanical Technology
Yuuzhan Vong culture views any form of mechanical technology as a blasphemy, and as such they are unable to move forward with the rest of the galaxy. Relying on organic weaponry and space craft, Kra'nei and his species still refuse to open up to the idea of mechanical weaponry. It is this fact that sets the species back, as they are unable to move forward and adapt, this is the case for Kra'nei, despite being slightly more open to the idea, he is still staunch in the way of his people.
- Compassion
A rarity in the Vong culture, which encourage violence and hatred, Kra'nei was raised a fair bit differently than others his own age. Kra'nei was taught to appreciate life, and has found some acceptance in the galaxies way of living, even through the use of technology rather than the benefits of nature. The role of Warmaster is normally given to those baring more aggressive qualities, and as a result, Rin's compassion and tenderness has often been used to the Vong's disadvantage. However who knows how this trait may come to benefit his domain in the future...
Appearance
Kra'nei Rin is structured like many Vong in this era, carrying heavy scarring across his entire body. Having been an elite member of the Yuuzhan Vong military core, the warrior caste, Kra'nei would often be put out in the thick of battle, facing enemy after enemy. As a result, his body has been morphed into a thick hunk of muscle, with every organ and limb molded for conflict. In exile however, Domain Rin has learnt to live in peace near the outskirts of the galaxy, using violence only to defend their homes and resources. Old scars are all that now litter the aged Vong's body, a reminder of the ferocity and determination of this once great war master.
Shaping was and still is a influential part of Kra'nei's religion, and although he and his other domain members have been cut off from the main Vong force, the war master ensures that the will of Yun- Yuuzhan lives on within Domain Rin. Along with battle scars, indications of surgery and organ grafting can be seen across the Vong's body as well. Now the wounds received from attempts at improving himself have also been added to the various battle trophies that litter his body.
