The Nemesis Legion is a project initiated by Darth Imperius upon his return to the Sith Empire and derived from his own Dark Custodian Guard project but applied to a larger scale and not only to serve as a personal bodyguard, but as a fighting force for the Sith Empire itself, sworn to it and to the Sith through singular vision, indoctrination and exceptional training.

The armor for these warriors was to reflect their preference for close combat and offensive doctrine. Nemesis Legionaries were deployed in the style of shock troops, a warhammer to shatter the enemies resistance in a single, monumental show of force that got up and close with the enemy. Excelling at orbital drops, assault landings, urban combat and boarding, their armor had to resist the prime weapons of the enemy and offer a balance of protection and agility.

Engineered to suit these needs with taking parts of the best equipment, the forges of the Sith Mechanicum used old templates as their inspiration to give a new spin and update to a modern armor for these new and elite shock troops. Featuring a full body armor with a tabard, a sealed body suit and helmet, the Legionary got a high degree of protection from outside influences just as direct attacks. It came at the cost of lower unconventional and more specific environmental weaponry defences and protection.

Its segmented armor plates though were ideal for the more close combat, even melee focused, approach of the Nemesis Legion and would soon earn it a fearsome reputation.
