- The Kriegertod is a combination of Sith sword and amulet in the form of a monstrous mace that no human could ever hope to wield. Part sorcerers staff and part melee weapon it is designed to act as a versatile aid to both melee combat and magic.
- Kriffing Massive
Built to scale for a Basiliskan the Kriegertod is around nine feet in length and weighs 300kgs. Needless to say with its a brutal weapon that is exceedingly efficient against armored targets. Despite its primitive appearance it can be startlingly effective even against smaller vehicles. - Dark Locus
The second function of the Kriegertod is to act in a manner similar to a mixture of Sith amulet and sword helping to enhance its wielders force abilities while also gaining resistance to lightsaber blows. In practice this means it is used as a channel to bolster spell effects particularly those related to necromancy.
- Kriffing Heavy
The Kriegertod isn't a lightsaber nor a even a vibroblade but a heavy duty mace. Even a space dragon gets tired and too much swinging around a hunk of metal like this eventually wears its wielder out leaving them exhausted and vulnerable if not used in moderation. - Imprecise
It will probably hit what you want to hit, but also the things you don't want to hit and even the things you are ambivalent about - all in the same swing. Swing with caution.
The design that became the Kriegertod was born from Ulrich's desire to have a proper sith weapon capable of murdering Mandalorians en masse. The idea of using an oversized lightsaber was quickly discarded as Ulrich found it exceedingly difficult to handle a near weightless blade, coming close to putting out an eye. Beskar's legendary resistance to lightsaber blades also factored into this, prompting the adoption of a weapon that relied on bludgeoning force instead of cutting power. As mentioned above the Kriegertod is something akin to a mixture of mace and wizards staff and is heavily invested with darkside sorcery to bolster its wielders spellcasting powers. This primarily applies to manifestations of the darkside that would be considered magic such as necromancy and evocation. Simple psionic expressions of the darkside such as force rage and force scream are largely unaffected.
