Intent: To give the Sv’Yato Naval Fleet, Panathan Empire and citizens of Sabarene a permanent location to train marines, ground crew, officers, and military specialties as well as a berth to run military training installations away from the city of Abha and the Epicanthix Colony. To give Sabarene a staging point for the military in case of invasion or catastrophe.

Thyrsa Starfighter Hangar: The main hangar for pilot training and small vessels landing & berthed at Kresimir. It connects to the main barracks & teaching structures through an above ground umbilical pathway, designed to keep the sand minimized. Housed in the hangars are equipment bays and engineering repair labs.
Radha Education Centre: The main building, the REC is the focal point of the Kresimir community and houses the administration, classrooms, gymnasium, offices, lecture halls and board rooms necessary to conduct an appropriate level of educational excellence.
Echa’Nibus Dormitories: Attached to the main building & Thyrsa Starfighter Hangar by an umbilical pathway, the Echa’Nibus Dormitories are simply that - an area full of barracks, housing, the mess hall, workout centre, sparring rings and meditation zones to enhance the students & recruits’ learning experience at Kresimir. Presided over by the instructors and the Prefects, the Echa’Nibus Dormitory is a haven of brisk discipline, safety, diligent training and R&R for those Cadets not given leave to venture off Campus to Abha or the Epicanthix Colony.
Xextos Parade Ground: A general meeting place out front, the Parade Ground is the place where Cadets organize, commit to practices which require more physical space, hold special ceremonies and play in team sports. The ground swells upward in rows built like benches, to give everyone in the ‘stands’ a decent view of the goings on. It is nothing more than a landscaped field, built on top of the subterranean water table drilling station that fuels the water for the academy.
Description: Academy initiates may begin their training at the age of twelve, young by some standards, old enough by others the training received at Kresimir is meant to develop the young officers and troops mentally, physically and emotionally into top notch tacticians, warriors, naval officers and shock troops. By gleaning the traditions of the Echani, Epicanthix and Nelvaani who have made Sabarene their new home, Kresimir blends the cultures together and creates a doctrine for the military protection of the Fringe from the unknown threats of the outer reaches. As the Sv’Yato Fleet grows in size, it needs officers and enlisted to fill the expanding number of ships with trained professionals.
Courses in Piloting, Naval & Ground (Squad, Platoon, Battalion & Tank/In Atmo) Tactics, Hand-to-hand Combat, Ranged Combat, Squad Formation, Intelligence Gathering, Engineering, Ship Operations, Military History, Galactic History, Medicine, Xenobiology (Flora & Fauna) and Survivalist Training will be offered, with new courses added to the docket as instructors and development allows.
Citizens of other planets within the Fringe Confederation get preferential Tuition rates, while the citizens of Sabarene can enroll in the Academy for free once they reach the age of twelve for the promise of a six year stint in the Sv’Yato Fleet and Fringe Navy. Through charging tuition for outsiders, Kresimir is able to put credits toward the development of the facilities, equipment, quality educators and the city of Abha’s developmental budgets. By working in accordance with the Lords of the Fringe current naval system, Kresimir Military Academy is poised to become a mainstay in the Confederation’s efforts and goals.
Architecturally, Kresimir Academy has been built to withstand the sandstorms common to Sabarene’s desert. The lines are indicative of functional Echani engineering, tapered to let the sand whip on top without much issue. The interior is a collection of white, silver and grey with smooth lines and sparse decoration. Each of the classrooms have desks and chairs, a holoprojector in the centre of the room and the instructor’s platform placed in the centre with the holoprojector. The combat areas are arranged outside of the barracks, nestled between the barracks buildings and the educational buildings, with a multipurpose gymnasium inside. An indoor firing range nestles beside the gymnasium, as does a group of sparring circles for combat training.
History: Kresimir Military Academy was the brainchild of Captain [member="Livia Maddox"] of the Fringe Confederation’s Sv’Yato Fleet, upon the instigation of settlements on Sabarene. Viewing the populace and its’ high level of Echani & Epicanthix settlers, Captain Maddox realized that a proper military academy would not only thrive on Sabarene, but be exactly what the planet’s development needed. She began the developmental phase of the project by eliciting the advice of @Syndacha Aerin - Admiral @Manu Xextos’ Padawan. Being both Echani and an engineer, Sindy had the refreshing perspective for problem solving and set-up Livia needed. The construction of Kresimir Military Academy took place once Abha was stabilized and another source of water could be found to hydrate the Academy & make up for the desert surroundings. Built on a continental shelf, the Academy is meant to handle the windswept desert activity and mirrors the look of a collection of white sand dunes.
With the installation of the Kresimir Military Academy and the impending Dominion of Sabarene into the Lords of the Fringe, the Kresimir Academy becomes a highlight for Fringe's Naval Forces and the training of future leaders.
