- The Gatekeeper: This Holocron is imprinted on by the spirit of Kruel Zing, allowing the deceased Sith Lord to manifest himself as the Gatekeeper of the Holocron. Though as a normal Gatekeeper he guards the secrets of the Holocron he is a fully sentient being within The Force. Rather than a simple representation of the man he is a true piece of the Dashade.
- Knowledge of the Cult of Darkness: Within the Outer-rim are small sects devoted to the memory and teachings of Kruel Zing. These acolytes believe they are awaiting for their lord's return and the person who takes command of this Holocron will have the knowledge to bend the cult to their will.
- Teachings of the Dark Side: Control over The Dark Side of the Force is a mysterious aspect even in theory. However through the teachings of The Gatekeeper this theory can become reality. A Master of the Dark Side, Kruel can choose to pass on his teachings of controlling the Dark Side, Sith Alchemy, Sith Sorcery, the construction of a Holocron, and especially the abilities of Force Lightning and Consume Essence.
- The Mark of Kruel: The Mark of Kruel is a Force Technique that binds a user to a superior Sith Master. It was a powerful mark that bound Kruel to his most loyal apprentices and even allowed him to communicate with them through The Force. Through this Holocron the user can learn the secrets behind safely creating such a brand.
- Knowledge is power: This Holocron holds the entire memory and Gatekeeper imprinted on by Kruel Zing. If a Sith can get past the Gatekeeper than they will have access to knowledge on some of the most powerful Sith skills in the galaxy. Along with the Mark of Kruel and the knowledge to construct a Holocron there are also instructions on the utilization of Sith Alchemy and Sorcery.
- The Key to the puzzle: A Dark Cult protects this Holocron and it's temple. Whoever is believed to be the "Heir" of Kruel and Master the secrets of the Holocron will be able to command the cult and it's devoted warriors.
- Resistant: This Holocron is made of Alchemized Phrik and is extremely difficult to destroy. Although is significantly larger than the average Holocron it still maintains a decent weight due to the Phrik used to forge it.
- Force Nulled: Any object that produces a Force Nullification field such as a Void Stone or a Ysalamiri will render the Holocron utterly useless and unable to active as well as slightly easier to destroy.
- Kruel Zing: Darth Ambroscus is not an easy Sith to appease. Though what remains of the Sith Lord is bound to the Holocron he still maintains a wealth of power that can easily be turned against the person hoping to learn his secrets.
- The Taint: This Holocron is covered in the Dark Side of The Force and sustained use can influence the user. Even practiced Sith can find their emotions and decisions affected by this artifact.
Some legacy's span a decade, some span a century, yet the legacy of Kruel Zing is believed to be over four thousand years old. A Dashade Sith birthed long before the Galactic Civil War he held a wealth of knowledge in the Dark Side. However even this dark lord was unable to prevent the inevitable. Before his sacrifice on Atrisia, Kruel emparted his wealth of knowledge into a single brilliant device. A holocron, designed to maintain a fraction of his presence in The Force, the device was ideal for passing on the Dashade's teachings and preserving his soul.
Holocron's are exceptional devices in their own right, yet the device that housed Kruel was something more. Made of Phrik Alchemized with the Dark Side of the Force this device serves as a key for many of the Dark Lord's holdings and ancient weapons. Along with being made of extremely resistant metals this housing is protected with a thick aura of The Dark Side. One that causes followers of the Light Side of the Force a great deal of discomfort to be within close proximity.
Kruel took special care on how to imprint his knowledge into the Holocron. In the end he decided to store a piece of his own Force Presence into the device. This allowed the Gatekeeper of Kruel's Holocron to be as authentic as the Dashade himself. Through this device the user can learn Alchemy, lightsaber combat, the history of Kruel, and even the facet of Sith Sorcery.
Following the death of Kruel on Atrisia the holocron was entrusted to a loyal cult embedded deep in the outer rim. These followers erected a temple devoted to the Dark Lord and cut themselves off from the rest of the galaxy to preserve the knowledge stored within that device.
