- Low Weight/Blade Sister: The low weight of these blades allows the wielders to perform moves that would otherwise be difficult to perform had the blades been even slightly heavier. This weight also allows the wielders to use a secondary and equally powerful weapon in tandem, or what the Barrow have dubbed as the "Blade Sister." While the truth behind the term is much simpler than the name would suggest, the Blade Sister is essentially the granted ability to wield both the Requiem Carvers and Spectral Razors in tandem, gifting the wielders a host of moves and specialized attacks.
- Cortosis Effects: The edges of these blades are laced with Cortosis threads, giving them the anti-lightsaber effects typical of the material and thus a greater edge in combat for the wielders should they encounter a foe armed with such a weapon.
- Songsteel Strengths: The Songsteel used to forge these blades makes them highly resistant to lightsaber strikes, though not invulnerable. As such, should the wielders be forced to block a lightsaber strike with the face or back of the blades, they will not be rendered weaponless and thus can stay in the fight.
- One Blade Per Member: Due to the small size of The Barrow, each member is only granted one blade for the duration of their service. This means that if the blade is damaged or lost or otherwise, it is up to the member to forge a new blade or repair their current lest they be without their weapon.
- Ranged Attacks: As with most vibroweapons, the Requiem Carvers are incapable of blocking ranged attacks, leaving the wielders at a disadvantage in long-range encounters and forcing them onto a frantic, erratic defensive until they can get close enough to their assailants.
- Skill Requirements: The Requiem Carvers' low weight and razor sharpness force the wielders to have a greater deal of skill in using bladed weapons than others lest they critically injure themselves or their comrades.
When The Barrow was created, Kascalion was more than aware that they would need weaponry that was befitting of their rank and importance. To decide on what he had to create for such capable assassins, the Lord of Ash had each of the members was brought forth in person to discuss their own individual ideas as to what weapon they would find their greatest use in. All voiced their desires of a silent, bladed weapon that could rend their enemies apart in seconds.
Thus, the Requiem Carvers were born.
Crafted for each member with extreme precision and designed to combat even Force Users effectively, the Requiem Carvers are mastercrafted weapons of death. With Cortosis laced edges and Songsteel-Duranium blades, these vibroswords are capable of not only resisting lightsabers, but disabling them too, thus giving the seven members of The Barrow the killing power necessary to fight Jedi and even Sith and walk away victorious.
