The forests of Kashyyyk are some of the most formidable found in the galaxy. Just as the native Wroshyr trees are gigantic, it's native beasts are formidable as well. Spiders larger than a speeder, birds that rival starships, and slugs larger than humans. For the native Wookiees, whose strength is enough to rip a man's arm off of his body, these creatures present no threat. But for the average human -- or average Mandalorian -- these beasts present a slightly larger problem.
Luckily, some innovative gunsmiths were able to present a solution, a solution that came in the form of weapon: the KSY-11 Shaman Blaster Rifle. This new model had a unique feature that allowed it to expend more bolts as the trigger was held, the reasoning being that if more firepower was needed to take down an aggressive creature, the gun would already compensate for it. It is quite the powerful weapon, even outside of fending of Kashyyyk's wildlife, and no doubt will be a powerful asset to anyone who has the fortune to use it.
