Kuat Biological Sciences is Kuat Drive Yards own attempt at delving into biotech and cloning. It is the company that produces most of Kuat Drive Yards combat clones to field its ships and it also researches biotechnology to help improve daily life, or save it. They do genetics research, manipulation, restoration and reconstruction. Similar to other companies which have developed ways to regrow limbs or bring someone back to life who had just died. While they won't actively create products used in medical facilities, they will create products others may put into devices used by medical facilities.
Kuat Drive Yards had been dealing with a 20,000 year old stain on its backside for far too long. Xa Fel, one of their most valuable factory worlds, was also, its most grievous mistake. Before settlers even had a chance to create their first generations of families, Kuat Drive Yards took over, and destroyed the planets ecosystem and atmosphere. It is now time to fix that. But that is only its primary objective. its second, and more longterm, objective is to be a cloning company, to produce clones for Kuat Drive Yards. For security and fielding ships. KDY's president had mixed feelings about forcing sons and daughters, fathers and mothers, to put their lives on the line each day for just a simple company. Now, KDY will sport its own defense force, to protect its assets, and its people.
