APPEARANCE:
Kurato is born of full Atrisian descent, olive skin, black of hair and brown of eyes. He is of an athletic build and stands at 5’9ft tall. Kurato is very traditional and commonly seen adorning an Atrisian style (Feudal Asian) of apparel.

As of yet, he has no distinguishing scars or features and is otherwise difficult to place in a crowd. However, he often carries the symbol of Clan Sadao upon many of his upper-body attire, as well as a pendant hung from his neck.

IDEOLOGY:
Bushido is a code of conduct that emerged in Atrisia from the warriors, who spread their ideals throughout society. They drew inspiration from a relatively conservative philosophy and system of beliefs that places a great deal of importance on loyalty and duty. The Bushido code contains eight key principles or virtues that warriors were expected to uphold.

Justice, Courage, Compassion, Respect, Integrity, Honor, Loyalty and Self Control.

For Clan Sadao, Bushidō is a part of everyday life in that one acts in all that they do to uphold honor and carry themselves down a path of unquestionable dignity. To serve, to protect and to uphold and if required, even be the hand that delivers justice in the Galaxy.

For those of Kurata’s ancestry, retreat was an act of cowardice. To fight and to kill meant staring your enemy in the eye and honoring them with a warrior’s death. Defeat at the hands of an opponent, fighting for a just cause was considered to be admirable and the preferred way to go for any abiding by their code of honor. Source

BIOGRAPHY:
Kurato Sadao was born in Xam’Chi, Atrisia: to an upstanding clan and family, of a proud and virtuous people of Clan Sadao.

His mother Jun, and father Hirata Sadao made certain to see their Son grow up of a respectable upbringing, well educated and trained to uphold their clans traditional ways of self-defense, swordsmanship and martial arts and discipline of the body and mind.

In his early teenage years Kurato enlisted with the Royal Exploration Corps, training and serving to uphold the law and honor of his Clan, as well as protecting their people from outside threats coming from the greater Galaxy.

Some years later following the World of Atrisia’s coming under the banner of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, and through the series of attacks upon their own soil as well as against the people of Confederate Space, Kurata was among various others, given the opportunity to serve beyond the capacity of their own Nation.

STRENGTHS:​

• Warriors Code: Kurata Sadao is a Warrior whose blade is drawn in the pursuit of justice for the people, carrying a code of principle and virtue that he strives to live by, marking him an ally and warden to the weak and those in need.
• Swordsman: Taught in the Atrisian ways of Swordsmanship through those of Clan Sadao, Kurata has become a gifted specialist in the ways of sword play, able to go toe-to-toe with an opponent, or otherwise seek to overcome multiple persons with the appropriate stance and form.

WEAKNESSES:​

• Warriors Code: Tied to the faith and creed of his Clan, Kurata is devout in the pursuit of justice and honor and will seek to achieve this by any necessary means. While this may be seen as virtue, it can also make the Atrisian Warrior predictable and easily drawn into unhealthy circumstance.
• Ronin: An army of one against a Galaxy of millions, Kurata Sadao suffers from a lack of purpose and identity beyond that of his code and way of honor; While Atrisia serves as home and a place of familiarity, the rest of the Galaxy remains foreign and his future uncertain.
