SPECIAL FEATURES

Strengths |
  • | Warmachine | The Yoruba Class Siege Droid is the pinnacle of destruction for droid designs. The Yoruba is outfitted with enough ammunition to last even the lengthiest of sieges and battles provided it can be resupplied regularly. While also being extremely heavily armed, the Yoruba can handle infantry, vehicular, and aerial threats all at once, often capable of assaulting them all from long range thanks to its weaponry and classification as an artillery/siege unit. The dual heavy turbolaser built into the right arm is its primary armament and is capable of hammering targets from afar and up close rapidly.
  • | Shielding | The Yoruba is designed to be protected against traditional threats to mechanical units, primarily against lasers, explosives, and EMP. It is heavily armored and protected via numerous layers of shields, defenses, and armor to withstand even the toughest of assaults. The Yoruba is a nigh-unstoppable juggernaut without some extremely heavy weapons to counter its defenses and bring it down.
Weaknesses |
  • | Spit in Death's Eye | The Siege Laser Cannon embedded in the chest of the Yoruba Class Siege Droid is an extremely powerful weapon, but also one that requires it to temporarily lower its shields to fire. During this time a strong enough blast aimed at the emitter can cause the Yoruba to explode given it is shot before it fires.
  • | Hit it from the Inside | While the Yoruba Class Siege Droid is a near-impenetrable warmachine from the outside, the same cannot be said for its interior. There are openings large enough for maintenance workers and such to get in and out of the Yoruba to conduct repairs and tuning, but assuming a hostile is both crazy and capable enough to climb up the Yoruba and get to those openings, they would be rewarded with access to extremely delicate and easy to destroy systems from the inside. Likewise, the interior is not protected against Ion/EMP weaponry, meaning if an extremely well placed shot from either in the right area can result in internal disruption.

DESCRIPTION

The KVX 'Yoruba' Class Siege Droid is a droid designed and developed by ApexTech Industries for pure destruction and chaos, commissioned by Kor Vexen to aid in planetary invasion, and to which he retains sole authorization and override codes for. They are designed to raze entire cities to the ground and leave nothing but ash and rubble in their wake. Based on siege and artillery platforms, the Yoruba Class Droid is a powerful tool of destruction that poses a major threat to anything that crosses its path - it is heavily armed and armored, making it a terrifying sight on the field. The primary armament that makes the Yoruba Class Droid perfect for besieging most cities and military installations is its chest-mounted Siege Laser - an even smaller but still highly potent laser version of the First Order's used on Krayt several hundred years ago. The laser is capable of wearing down powerful shield systems rather quickly, thus opening a path for ground forces or laying waste to anything caught in its beam. It is also extremely effective in decimating entire battalions of enemy troops with a single fire.

Siege Laser Cannon Deployed

Where situations require a more 'delicate' touch, the Yoruba is equipped with a pair of triple-barreled 185mm rotary cannons mounted to its left arm, capable of raining high explosive shells on (un)armored targets such as infantry or vehicles while also being able to effectively reduce the population of any standing building to zero with a swift barrage. With the effective range of conventional mortars, the 185mm cannons are quite effective in peppering the battlefield with explosive fire and sending formations into disarray. For a more precise touch, the right arm has been entirely replaced to accommodate a dual turbolaser cannon that would be suitable for a capital ship, outputting immense laser firepower and melting anything that gets caught in its sights. All laser weaponry on the Yoruba also pairs extremely well with the experimental laser displacement system it is equipped with. This gives the Yoruba an unprecedented amount of range and firepower coverage with its laser weapons, being able to strike random targets that might be protected by high terrain or cover. And just in case it wasn't equipped with enough firepower, the shoulders of the Yoruba are filled with micro missile tubes capable of delivering high yield missiles capable of blasting most vehicles or starfighters out of the sky. These missiles have minor tracking capabilities and are capable of chasing targets down.

That covers a majority of the offensive armaments mounted on the Yoruba - But what makes the Yoruba such an effective siege platform is its defenses. Its primary defense is the Liskarm Pattern Shield system that protects it from a majority of laser/beam weaponry that poses the greatest threat to it, being able to absorb and redirect fire back to its attackers. The addition of reinforced duraplast, as well as Ionic/EMP shielding, make it also extremely resilient to the traditional threat that is posed to most robotic units - While it is not immune (It will be slowed and disrupted temporarily) it won't get completely decommissioned. Self-repairing nanolaminate plating ensures that any breaches in the armor will be repaired in quick fashion. Its construction of Impervium armor plates over a Beskar frame makes it extremely durable and sturdy and capable of withstanding an immense amount of damage before becoming structurally compromised. Several systems such as anti-missile flares and fire suppression systems provide additional quality of life defenses. There are several laser turrets positioned all over the Yoruba to give it an additional defense against infantry or aircraft that may dare to get close.

Among your list of items upon the droid, I see nothing that prevents slicing attempts. As such, I feel it may be warranted to add the weakness of such if someone is capable enough to do so. As you do specifically mention being able to get directly inside the machine and tamper with it. If you wish to make a new weakness, or add it to the existing one, it is up to you.

The submission designed for preventing slicing slipped my mind upon submitting for re-review. The 'Killbox' has been added to Miscellaneous Equipment, though slicing attempts made would still have to be done from the inside where any access to the droid's systems or brain would be stored, something I feel the second weakness already implies.
