The Kwenn is borne from the realization in battle that a mobile platform for heavy artillery was required. However, a platform this size wouldn't be easy to maneuver around. As usual for Silver heavy self-propelled artillery, it features repulsorlift propulsion, as well as ERA, which, unfortunately, forces infantry to operate some distance away from the vehicle. Here three configurations were available: one for anti-aircraft, with 12 vertical launch systems (VLS) able to fit ammunition up to proton torpedo in size, one for MLRS use, including six VLS designed for proton rocket-sized ammunition, and finally, the siege configuration, featuring one 305mm heavy hypervelocity cannon, giving it surface-to-orbit capability. It even features a retractable roof to allow the vehicles to move without arousing suspicion, without exposing the weapons batteries, thanks to its chassis being derived from a commuter shuttle found on Kwenn.
Sloped armor, to the extent the chassis allowed for it, was there to force incoming direct-fire, from projectiles or ebergy weapons, to travel greater distances and hence reduce their effectiveness. Finally, to defend against infantry or light vehicles, there were 8 repeater cannons installed for that purpose.
