- Description: An elite division of special forces. Founded on Adumar and named after Operation Kyber Dark. The Exogen-Class Shadow Troopers were hand picked and trained by various high ranking officials to be perfectly comfortable in tracking, stalking and eliminating Force sensitive individuals and the handling of Force artifacts. They excel in guerrilla warfare, skulduggery, ambush tactics, hand to hand combat, marksmanship, slicing and domestic terrorism. Often the special forces division works in tandem with COMPNOR, in Black Op projects and even as personal guards for high ranking officials.

- Combat Function: In combat the unit is rather independent, but act as support for higher ranking individuals within the NIO. Utilizing their skills and equipment, the unit takes stealth at hand before ambushing their targets. Once in the dead of combat the soldiers imply guerrilla tactics. They will run, hide, come back out, set traps and anything you could imagine to harass the enemy and force them into a position to be executed.

It was after the Invasion of Bastion, after Operation Kyber Dark and the purging of the Sith within the NIO's own government that a new breed of soldier rose. Founded on Adumar, Named after the Purge and trained to hunt. The Kyber Dark Exogen-class Shadow Troopers were born. Handpicked by high ranking officials within the NIO military for one single purpose. To hunt and execute remaining hostile force sensitives and darksiders. A job most normal stormtroopers could handle in mass with some difficulty or error. The Shadow troopers were formed to make no error. To be comfortable to eliminate their targets with ease, using the environment and mind against them till death was all but inevitable. Today these units and divisions of specialized troopers remain active still in Black Op projects and various other personal assignments for Moffs and the like. The Kyber Dark Exogen-class Shadow Troopers are rarely ever displayed in mass and publicly are a treat if seen. They are considered phantoms and ghosts. Men and women with the best skills honed to get their jobs done effectively and efficiently.
