Admiral

Name: Kyrana Gould
Loyalties: Silver Sanctum Coalition
Role: Fleet Admiral commanding SSC naval forces.
Development Threads: None
Age: 43
Species: Human
Force-Sensitive: No
Appearance: Gould is of average height with long, blonde hair now turning grey. She has not gotten through her career entirely unscathed, and her left arm is still somewhat numb from an injury taken at Roche. Otherwise she is in good physical shape for someone of her age and training.
Personality: As a career soldier, Gould has a no-nonsense attitude towards problems. She is something of a strict disciplinarian, though not to the extent that she’s become a martinet. In battle she is fearless in command, often leading the column of attack from the front.
Personally she can be quite affable, though she is often rather humourless.
Weapon of Choice: Gould carries a regulation blaster pistol at her side. She uses battleships to do her fighting for her.
Wealth: As first an officer, now an Admiral, Gould is comfortably well off. She lives with her husband in Voss-Ka when not on duty.
Combat Function: As an Admiral, Gould is not expected to enter close combat. Though as a junior officer she participated in boarding actions and marine operations, this has not been the case for many years. She continues to keep her eye in with pistol training at the range, bit if she ever has to use it there are bigger problems than accuracy!
Skills:
Other Notes:
Growing up on Corellia in the years before the rebirth of the Republic, Kyrana Gould learned to fly early on with her parents who had been extending old trade routes lost during the Darkness. Her family’s company, Gould Trading, made an extremely tidy profit in the early days, and Kyrana seemed set for a life of business.
However, the birth of the Sith Empire pushed Kyrana to a different path. Graduating the Republic Naval Academy she was commissioned a Lieutenant and saw action in several battles such as Roche and Korriban. During this time Kyrana came to the notice of Admiral Friedrich Stahlmann, who helped her career. First commanding a corvette, then a frigate, Kyrana gave good service to the Republic during the latter days of the Sith Empire.
With the Sith Empire’s collapse and a period of peace, Kyrana entered a more staff role, but was recalled to active service when the One Sith arose. Against them she served at Manaan and Prakith, and during the Netherworld Crisis she commanded Destroyers for the first time, helping destroy an Immortal.
Like her mentor, Kyran resigned the Republic, and distraught over the loss of Corellia she entered a period of profound depression. This depression was only alleviated by her meeting her future husband Jacen Dell. Jacen, another refugee from Corellia, helped her overcome the loss, and she accepted a teaching job at the Levantine Academy.
With the Sanctum’s folding she was offered a job by her old mentor Stahlmann, to become fleet admiral of the new Coalition navy. Though it was a considerable step up she accepted, and now stands ready to protect the new Coalition.
OOC Note: This character will be fleeting for the SSC instead of Stahlmann who is retired. It will also allow other writers to use them if they need to. She’s a standard military NPC with no magical abilities or powers.
