- Stronk: Comprised of durasteel and phrik casing, Kyra’s arm is highly resistant to kinetic, energy and EMP/Ion damage, as well as lightsabers. Additionally, the advanced severos allow for Kyra's arm to have 3x the strength of her organic arm.
- Wall of Light: Imbued with the light side of the Force, Kyra’s arm allows for increased aptitude when practicing light sided force techniques and lightsaber handling.
- Swiss Arm: Kyra’s arm has a multitude of features including two blaster weapons, a personal energy shield, life form scanner, commlink, homing beacon and tracking unit.
- Damning Darkness: Infused with light side energy, Kyra’s arm will only work at full capacity if she herself remains within the light. If Kyra were to slip into the dark, her arm will become gradually more difficult to control in proportion to how influenced she is by the dark side of the Force, and eventually be rendered useless.
- Hack’d: The tracker in Kyra’s arm has the capacity to be hacked, allowing for her to be tracked without her knowledge.
- Last Chance: The shock blaster component of Kyra’s arm can deal massive damage at close range, at the cost of significantly damaging her arm in the process. If this weapon is discharged, Kyra’s arm will lose some or all of its functionality until it has been properly repaired .
The durasteel core of Kyra’s arm is plated with phrik, allowing the limb to remain roughly the average weight of an organic arm while offering durability. The phrik coating is enhanced with an anti-energy field for increased resistance to blasters, lightsabers, slugthrowers, kinetic damage, and EMP/ION energy. A personal energy shield fixed into Kyra’s arm can be activated to encompass her being for basic protection against blaster fire, the elements and other hazards.
Wanting to offer her sister the greatest protection and enhancements she could, Yula enlisted the help of Kyra’s father,
Coren Starchaser
to imbue her arm with the light side of the Force. The imbuement gives Kyra a boost in her light sided Force abilities and saber handling, but only if she remains within the light. Given Kyra’s personal difficulties, Yula and Coren mutually agreed that a light sided imbuement would help keep Kyra on track; if Kyra were to practice the dark side or come under it’s influence, her arm would become difficult to use and many of it’s functions and features would malfunction. The more under the influence of the dark side of the Force Kyra is, the more functionality her arm loses, until it is rendered completely useless. The only way to restore function to the arm is for Kyra to actively practice the light side of the Force.Additional features of Kyra’s arm include a lifeform scanner with display readout, and an embedded light ion disruptor cannon. Given that some components had to be stripped from the ion cannon in order to make it lighter and able to fit into Kyra’s arm, this weapon is able to deal damage but unable to disintegrate targets. The embedded shock blaster in Kyra’s arm can be used to deadly effect, with the cost of overloading the arm itself and rendering it useless until it can be repaired. This was installed as a ‘last stand’ mechanism, designed to discharge powerful amounts of energy in truly desperate situations.
Finally, Kyra’s arm includes a panel of communication features. A basic commlink with automatic frequency tuning is installed, as well as a homing beacon and tracking device. The tracking device’s information can only be accessed by Yula at this time, but has the capacity to be hacked, revealing Kyra’s location and movements to anyone who may be so inclined.
