- Accessibility: The lab is situated in a snowy region high up in the mountains far away from any civilized town, city, or village. The lab is essentially guarded by the heavy blizzards and below freezing temperatures circulating around the mountain top making it impossible for anyone to reach the facility by foot, and the shifting snows make it almost impossible for ground vehicles to gather enough traction to make the drive. The only way to gain access to the facility is through cargo ships, transport shuttles, and other smaller vehicles.
- Description: At a glance, the sprawling facility looks like a fortified base, but in fact it's a science lab of the Dark Empire. The entire facility is spread out across a staggering 1,100 acres that is tucked away in a snowy mountain region on Carlac.
- Landing Pads: There are around eight different landing pads located around the facility; each landing pad big enough to handle medium to small sized ships; which include transport shuttles, cargo shuttles, and small freighters.
- Staff Quarters / Military Barracks: The staff that work here also live here. Every staff member upon hired to the facility are required to live full time at the facility.
- Cafeteria: A twenty-four-hour cafeteria was built into the science facility to provide meals to the staff. The food on the menu is a collection of recipes, dishes, and exotic foods found across the galaxy.
- Hospital Wing: The hospital wing is as the name implies. In the event of accidents or bodily harm or sickness, there is a fully trained medical staff on board in the hospital wing to fully administer medical care.
- Archives: In the basement of the facility is the massive, sprawling archives. In the archive section, there are books, tomes, datafiles, computers, and all manners of ways to preserve and store data from all the research conducted within the confines of the facility.
- Formal Science - Theoretical Computer Science Wing: In this lab, the scientists work exclusively on a few topics related to this science branch. Thier studies include Algorithms, Computational Complexity Theory, Quantum Computing, Computational Biology, Computational Economics, and Computational Geometry.
- Formal Science - Statistics Wing: The lab is designed to be utilized for the study of Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, and Systems Theory.
- Formal Science - Mathematics Wing: This lab's sole purpose is the study of Mathematics which encompasses and overlaps other mathematical studies.
- Natural Science - Biology Wing: The study of Biology takes place in this wing, where the scientists work diligently to unravel the mysteries and secrets surrounding this science branch.
- Natural Science - Physics Wing: One of the more fundamental studies of science, Physics, is conducted in the labs.
- Natural Science - Chemistry Wing: Chemistry, the study of the behaviors and properties of matter, are housed in this section of the facility.
- Biological Science - Biochemistry Wing: One of the more prestigious wings of the facility is the Biochemistry Wing, were the study of all things Biochemistry takes precedents.
- Biological Science - Microbiology Wing: This wing is the most guarded and protected of all the wings in the facility. Within these labs, scientists work using Microbiology to study microorganisms, viruses, and bacteria. Here, they seek to create through fabrication processes unique concepts associated with the topic.
SECURITY
High:
- Security Office / Checkpoints: The Security Office sist in the center of the facility, with twenty-five cameras being monitored by security personnel twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. The facility has six checkpoints, guarded and monitored by Phase I Dark Trooper-class Battle Droids, with three droids per checkpoint.
- Archive Security System: Along the archives there are roughly thirteen Mk 1e/W heavy laser cannons that guard the archives.
- Infantry: There are roughly fifty military personnel assigned to the facility. Each soldier is outfitted as such:
- Ground Vehicles: There are two styles of ground-based vehicles that patrol around the facility's inner grounds
- Turret System: Outside the facility, there are roughly twenty-five well placed automated turrets that are computer operated that defend the facility from hostile targets.
