DESCRIPTION
LCFO, in a nutshell, is a collection of different laboratories throughout the galaxy that have a concern with how unchecked force users' power is. While a large part of their efforts go toward helping farmers and what may be considered “lower” members of the galactic society, a substantial part of their other research goes into the control and dominance of force users as an effort to rebalance the level of power. For its part, LCFO is the leading overhead, directing the way that these laboratories will push their research. While some technologies are created directly in LCFO’s headquarter’s laboratories, the vast majority of research will come from one of the subsidiaries.
RATIONALE
LCFO was the brainchild of many long, coffee pot filled night’s of conversation between
Magent Karaay
and Trea'aain'elis, with the goal of bringing together many different laboratories, each and every one with different specialties and researches. This spawned from a rational fear that had begun to overtake many in the scientific community, that those blessed with a connection to the force had begun to overstep ethical and moral bounds. These fears fell right into line with the beliefs of The Unblessed. For too long, those with the blessing of force connections were unchecked in their power. While doing so, they also began to forget the role many had played in bettering the lives of those less fortunate than themselves.Two goals came about for LCFO. One, to create technologies accessible by even the lowest of society with the sole and express purpose of making their lives easier, focusing on the agricultural aspects of the galactic economy. The second, the side of their research that would be much less public facing, would begin to dive into the relationship between force users and their connection to the force. Once that connection could be better understood, better and more useful technologies could be created by LFCO’s subsidiaries to cull and undermine the blessed power.
