Lady of Flame

What had seemed like so long ago in her life had been less than a year, but for Ra that time had brought a great many changes for her. A difference for her with her work, the Force and even the government she was in. Things had been taken from her, but new opportunities had opened and fate had brought her to now.

One thing she knew she needed to do was meet up with Solan again. They had crossed paths early on in their mutual time with the Ancient Eye, neither of them had been with them very long and they had parted ways.

She knew how to contact him due to her several positions. As a merchant and as a spy. Having a real reason to contact him, she did it openly and invited him to her home on Vjun. Bast Castle had been mentioned briefly at the end of their meeting so her invitation shouldn't come as a surprise.

Once he got the invitation, she hoped he would accept the offer to visit her here. When he arrived he would be greeted by an old man. Vincent would introduce himself and pleasantries would be offered for food and drink as Solan was lead to the library. A statement of room that was prepared for him was also given.

Ra would be there waiting for him and her attitude was be totally different than what it had been on Winter when they first met. Near the end of that run and conversation she had been more herself, but at home that is all she was. A strong woman used to being on her own and not one to ask for help even if she needed it. Here she was comfortable here and appeared relaxed.

She had no visible weapons and her hair was down. Her shirt was a lavender color and her skirt was brown. Standing up when he entered, Ra gave Solan a smile and invited him to sit in a chair by the fire and took her own chair there. If he had requested anything, Vincent would return with the food and drink. Once he dropped that off, he would leave again and close the door behind him.

"Welcome to Bast, Solan. I hope your journey was well?"

The events that passed were quick, like the snap of fingers. He found himself shuttled aoround and had almost forgot what it was like to be waited on by servants and attendants. He had left that life behind long ago and this was unusual for him at first until he reminded himself that the woman he had come to see was someone who could afford such luxuries. That invite was not something he hesitated to accept, she had intrigued him as few had before and he wanted to know what the woman was calling him for. She was not someone he had expected to hear from again, and that had been disappointing for him.

But she did contact him again and the man started to lower himself into the seat as she the man left, dismissed as Solan didn't require anything in the slightest. Instead he turned his head on her and listened to her greeting, watching her features and noticing how different the woman allowed herself to be in this moment and he looked her face over. He said nothing still but after a moment his eyes turned on the fire and he smiled as he leaned back a small bit in the chair.

"Thank you for the welcome Ra, if you don't mind me addressing you as such." He spoke, eyes turning back on her now. "The journey and your attendants have both been splendid, though I must say that I am surprised to hear from you again, most don't call me back after the first night."

The man left the joke to hang in the air as he looked at her again and blinked, a hand moving to his side and placed on an object in his pocket. He seemed distracted for a second but let the idea pass as he returned to looking at the woman and waiting for what she might require of him.

Feeling the piercing look of Solan, Ra did nothing to hide anything from him. After a few moments, he made himself comfortable in the chair she had offered him and gave her his answer.

"Not at all, it was what most people call me. Vincent and the people that work here all have a place with me. That old man has been with me since the beginning almost. He practically came with the castle. It's every girl's dream to live in a castle and mine came true."

He joked about not hearing back from others after meeting him for the first time and Ra shook her head.

"I said we would see each other again when I left you on the balcony. I'm just sorry it couldn't have been soon."

Seeming distracted by something in his pocket, he stopped fiddling with it and look at her again.

"Actually I asked if you would visit me to well, bring you up to date on things that have happened to me and in my life. You see, I am no longer a part of the Ancient Eye. Or the Sith."

She let that hang as he had the joke a few moments ago. Not breaking eye contact with him, she would go on to tell him what else had happened since they last met.

"What have you been up to, Solan?"

He listened to each bit of speech, wondering what the woman had been up to in the recent months now that she had mentioned it. As he had said, few bothered to make contact with the man after meeting him once, either due to the unnecessary nature of contacting him, or the fact those people want him dead or are annoyed by him. That is what made Solan so very very curious about Ra and why she sparked such interest. Though, at this point she had told him that she had left the Eye and the Sith, two things he had to say were rather interesting to hear.

His hand tapped on the crystal in his pocket again, and the thoughts of a certain Ashlan wolf that rested within his clothing probed at his own thoughts. They were of interst and curiosity on why someone would call him to their place for what thus far seemed to be nothing more than small talk and idle conversation. He did owe her response and soon the seconds of thought came to an end when she asked what he had been up to, giving him his opportunity to speak and to know she had finished.

"Me? I can't say my life has been too interesting, atleast not as much as yours has been it would seem. I simply am moving about the galaxy and doing what I can here and there. Kill some slavers, help some people, do a bit of healing for people, nothing spectacular. I spend most of my time in my garden though, creating my masterpieces." He smiled at her, seeing how she might react to what he had said.

"You say your life isn't as interesting as mine. It might be true in some ways, but not in others."

Sitting forward to look at Solan more directly as she spoke, Ra paid attention to what he said. He touched that something in his pocket again, but she didn't mention it. If he wanted her to know what it was, he would tell her. Not sensing anything dangerous with the action, she didn't worry about it.

"I lead the life of a merchant usually. Don't stay in places long enough to set up home. This is the exception and it has been a home since before I was a merchant. With the recent failure of the Coalition, there has been a need for me to help people too. Bringing in aid and supplies mostly. Never been much a healer, but help when I can."

Tilting her head to show the curiosity she felt when Solan mentioned his garden, she would ask about that.

"What masterpieces might they be?"

Solan listened to her give him an explanation of her own life and was interested in knowing how much she might actually tell the man that in truth she knew very little about. She was an odd one, first with the invite into her home followed by the interest in sharing things about eachother. It was a bit surprising to Solan considering the woman was formally a sith, something Solan tried to avoid most days.

Yet here he was sitting across, strange.

Then the question came about his masterpieces and he was silent for a moment longer before speaking.

"Well, if you would like and have a patch of earth I can use, I could show you my creations and save you the need to visualize them up in your exquisite mind." He clasped his hands together in his lap and waited patiently, seeing just what she chose. He could do either, but he would not be able to do them justice if she choose to simply hear about them.

For some reason, Ra was not at all uncomfortable speaking to Solan today. As he suspected, her invitation here was more or less to play catch up with each other. Fill in the details of their recent adventures and maybe lay some plans for the future. Nothing was set in stone for either of them though, but Ra had some plans. She idly wondered if he might want to know about them. For now she would keep silent on those plans.

Lifting an eyebrow when he mentioned a patch of earth he might use, she broadly gestured around them. The motion wasn't meant for the castle, but for Vjun itself.

"This is a world of acid rain, Solan. There is no plant life here. Earth isn't an issue, keeping alive something planted though is. You are welcome to try though."

Her words were true, most of Vjun was rocky with little to no soil. No plants could live through the storms the planet had.

Solan thought on that for a moment before gripping at a canteen on his side and hesitating, his hand resting on the pocket for a moment and looking at her with some caution. He seemed to hold and stare at Ra long, waiting for an internal conversation to end before slowly retrieving a stone and letting a soft simple return to his features. He could still grow something, it would only be a matter as to if the plants would live after that he would leave up to the woman that had invited him to her home.

"I can assure you that your storms won't create a problem for me unless they began right now, and even then I could just tear up your floor and find some ground there that would be suitable, but I would hate to cause any damages." He grinned a bit and placed the items back where they belonged before standing and patting himself off.

He strode over to her and reached out with a hand to help her up, bowing his head.

"Id be honored to help you up and be led somewhere with the smallest bit of cover, if you do not mind going for a small trip again."

The man waited patiently and with that same soft and kind smile, interested in seeing the planet a bit while conducting his little show. He was already gathering energy, something thankfully easy on a planet like Vjun. The planet seemed to leak the darkside and he latched onto that and drained it into him as he prepared to give his creations form once more.

"Thank you for taking into consideration the destruction of my home."

Watching as he moved now and then, she saw him pull a stone out of his pocket and he smiled slightly when he did. Maybe that is what he had been playing with in his pocket earlier, but again Ra was too polite to ask.

"There are no storms around the castle currently."

He had already replaced the stone and stood up. Walking over to her, Solan held a hand out to help her up and have her guide him around the planet a little. Ra accepted the hand and looked at him as she stood up. With a small twinkle in her eye, she smiled slightly at the same time.

"I just hope it doesn't turn into another game of chase. The lands here can be as dangerous as any city."

"I would hope so too, I didn't bring my running shoes or clothing that would fit for such an event. My son insists I look decent for those who invite me over on official business." He shrugged and turned, heading with the woman beside him towards the closest place that he needed for this to work.

He wasn't as good at sensing for life on this planet, especially when the planet was dead for the most part, but even bacteria and small creatures remained in the soil, waiting to be found. He just needed Ra to show him where he needed to go, and then it was all on him at that point.

In the meantime his free hand was drawing items from his pouches and into his hand, using the force rather than bothering to reach for them while he walked with Ra. He didn't want to bother the woman as he gathered up the seeds he needed from the pouches at his side, each hidden within his jacket and each different in size and holding a different type of seed. He was curious what she might say if she noticed his collecting of seeds, but if she did say something he figured it wouldn't be anything bad.

Once they were outside, he would let her take a seat and wait for her to be ready for his little show, so to speak. He figured she wouldn't kneel into the ground as he did once they were outside, and would instead choose to take a seat more fitting for the former sith lady. So he paid her actions no mind as he bent down and started creating four holes in preparation.

She couldn't help but chuckle at what Solan said in reply to not wanting another game of chase. A raised eyebrow greeting him when he mentioned his son wanted him to dress for official business.

"I didn't think there was anything official about this though. Here I am myself and don't worry about the formalities of business."

Most people assumed there was no life on Vjun, but there was. It had fish, birds and a breed of fox known only to Vjun. If time allowed it, Ra would introduce Solan to her two pets. One was a nexu cat and the other a Vjun Fox.

As they walked, she lead him to the front doors really instead of any of the others. It was closest to them anyway. Not having brought a chair, she did take a seat on the ground, but sat on her rear end.

"All yours."

He smiled once more hearing the last bit of words and laid out the seeds, a good distance separating each and his hand moved to remove the canteen and the stone once more. He turn removed his cloak and set it aside, a small black furred creature moving among the cloth and settling in within its folds behind Solan. It watched form its semi-hidden place, looking between Solan and the woman who it could see out of the corner of it's vision, careful not to poke its head out too far.

Solan himself did not pay attention to Daeda's watching him or Ra, and instead took up the stone in his hand and smiled at it before saying a silent prayer. He bowed his head to the stone and remained like that for a few moments before he brought the stone to his chest and held it there with his right hand while the left reached out to the first seed. For a moment nothing happened but then the force started to take on a far more physical shape as a grey colored, mist like trail moved from the crystal and crawled across Solan's right arm, traveling up it and along his shoulders before reaching towards the left arm and down to his hand.

Soon it would leap from his hand and seep down into the earth around the seed as the canteen was opened and a trail or water came from it as well, the two streams mixing in air before coming down on the seed. He breathed in and sighed, letting his body relax as the water and grey mist ceased, having been distributed to each seed and her now moved the stone out and held it in both hands, holding it over the first seed once more. No visual act happened this time, but soon the seed would crack as life was pulled from it and channeled into its growth.

The first flower that would erupt from the ground would be would seem to mimic the colors of a flame, and even seemed to move like one at first, its petals reaching out and displaying their color to the two onlookers. It wouldn't take long for the flower to take shape and it stood tall as it continued to grow, aided and influenced by Solan's powers.

He would not take long to move onto the next and with another breath in her put all his effort into this one. It was clear he was strained and her tugged at the strings or life for the seed. His grip on the force latched tight on the strings of life for the seed and funneled a great deal of power out of himself and down into the ground. He breathed hard and smiled as the seed cracked like the last and its petals reached out only this time it took a very different appearance than the last.

A dark, radiant blue touched the tips of the petals, becoming lighter as one's eyes crawled closer to the center of the flower and at the center was an almost white color, light enough that the blue almost seemed to vanish. And like the last, it almost seemed to glow and mimic fire just as the first had, only this was a different kind, a softer, calmer flame than the violent one the other seemed to hold.

He settled down and looked at the last, relaxing and not bothering to put too much into this one, knowing that this did not require the effort the last two did. It was but a simple rose, dark red in color and he smiled as his hand drew upwards and with it the flower followed. Only when he stopped did it do so as well, opening and displaying its color and petals just as the other two had.

Only then did he finally talk again.

"I think these three will do. The first is a flower I created that withstood heat and fire far better than any planet, its roots can grow quite strong and hold onto someone who could not free themselves quite well. This is a small one though and no where near the extent it would need to be for active combat, but that is it's main purpose none the less, besides being a flower of course... The next is something that I cannot claim to have created, but I am the only one that knows how to grow it." He looked at the second with a tinge of sadness and touched the petals.

"Its called an Eternal Mourner, It will never die as long as one does not bring its death through unnatural means. Destroying it through any physical method will still work, but as far as temperature, age, or any such effect... it will continue living. They are meant to honor the dead and the fallen, planted in remembrance of those that have died or that you have lost." His eyes not turned to the last one which he reached over, carefully freeing the top portion from the stem and turning to Ra.

"As for this, it is a simple Rose. A beautiful flower for one who shares that trait."
