Early Life:
Lady Rowan Vale, Ducha of Terephon was born on the planet Terephon in the Hapes Consortium approximately thirty-seven years ago. She was the only child of then Ducha Saina Vale and her sole heir. Her father, like many Hapan noble men, was a courtesan in the Queen Mother’s court and a known pirate who marauded for a living outside of Hapan space. His name was Stefan Basteon and the two rarely saw each other, save for the occasional visit.
Mother's Death:
As Rowan entered her teens, her mother took ill. She suffered from a genetic auto-immune condition which rapidly attacked her neurons, disrupting her nervous system. For a time, their family’s physicians were able to keep the disease at bay, but after a time all treatments stopped working. She passed away a few weeks after Rowan’s fourteenth birthday.
Schooling on Coruscant and Eshan:
After the death of her mother, Rowan’s aunt was appointed as a kind of regent to govern Terephon until she became of age. Knowing that the young girl would need a well rounded education, Rowan’s aunt paid for all the best tutors. Rowan spent time on Coruscant, studying at the world’s top finishing school. Upon graduation, she spent two years Eshan, studying Echani martial arts before being accepted into the Royal Naval Academy on Hapes.
Royal Hapan Navy:
She would graduate with honors and be assigned as a Lieutenant to the Queen Mother’s personal fleet. Several years later, as a Lieutenant Commander, she would take command of the Nova Class Cruiser “Tanel Ka” when its Captain was killed in a battle against One Sith marauders. Following that battle, she would be promoted to the rank of Captain and given her first official command on board the Hapan Battle Dragon “Queen’s Fury.”
Becoming Ducha of Terephon:
Four years later, when Rowan turned thirty, she would inherit the title of Ducha of Terephon as per House Vale’s protocol. Her aunt would take on the role of trusted adviser. Now the de facto commander of Terephon’s entire defense force, the Royal Navy formally promoted Rowan to the rank of Commodore. She commands Terephon’s military forces from her new flagship the Hapan Battle Dragon “Bane of Lorell.”
Present Day:
Lady Rowan has been a vocal critic of the Silver Jedi Order for many years, but has not hesitated to commit her forces to the protection of the Silver Sphere as needed. Given the looming threat of the Bryn’adul, she currently works to prepare Terephon’s military forces for the inevitable confrontation.

Civil Training: Rowan studied for four years at the prestigious Coruscanti Academy finishing school on Coruscant. Upon finishing, she travelled to Eshan and lived there for two years, studying Echani martial arts before being accepted into the Royal Hapan Naval Academy on Hapes.

Character ethics: Lady Rowan puts duty and honor above all else. Her first focus is always on the protection and security of her homeworld of Terephon and that of the Hapes Consortium. That being said, she recognizes that the larger whole of the Silver Jedi Concord is a vital part of maintaining that security and as such, she is willing to wholeheartedly through her military forces into the defense of it.

Seasoned Commander: From her homeworld of Terephon, which she rules as Ducha, to the thousands of officers and enlisted ratings under her command in the Royal Navy, Lady Rowan has rarely had a moment in her life where she hasn’t been responsible for the lives of others. She is an excellent leader and has commanded her people in even the most trying times.
- Weight of the World: Her entire life, Lady Rowan has felt responsible for others. It is a weight that she takes on willingly, but one that she is reluctant to relinquish even if it is for the best. She often works herself far too hard and beats herself up far too much when things go wrong. She is known for working herself into a stupor and has collapsed more than once from exhaustion.
- Progressive Auto-Immune Disorder: Lady Rowan suffers from a chronic progressive auto-immune disorder that attacks her neurons at the cellular level. It is a condition that appears to be hereditary, as it killed her mother and grandmother before that. Currently she is keeping the condition at bay with medication and regular bacta infusions, but without those treatments she will eventually become too weak to function.
