A small village set at the foot of the ice capped mountains. The lake is fed from the constant melting ice which trickles with a lyrical song of waters. In the evening, a mist shroud the village, and strange events happen to those that venture out at night. The near by forest is equally dangers to those that do not heed the history of the village or the words of it's peoples. The residencies are set within the walls of the mountains, resting on unique rock formation only found in this part of Midvinter, underneath these formation are vents that allow the hot waters from the underground springs to rise to the surface and provide much welcomed water for the villagers. The hot water is tapped to the homes via a series of aquaducts .. they are also used to warm the homes along side the hearth.
The peoples of the village are highly superstitious and wary of strangers, they did not take a liking to their last resident .. Aerin Firebrand, calling her Witch for her unnatural abilities. Aerin no longer resides there.
The Lake of Mists is located three days ride north of the Capital.
