One of the ancient treasures of not just the Bloodscrawl Family, but the Jedi Order itself, the Lance of Ession is a powerful relic weapon created by one of the very earliest members of the Bloodscrawls, during a time so ancient that a Jedi having a red Lightsaber blade had not yet acquired the stigma it would later. This weapon was passed from parent to child, many of whom would serve as among the finest Temple Guards the order would ever produce, the strength of the Light in the weapon as well as each successive owner undeniable, protecting many a temple and innocent person through countless crisis after crisis. As a result, Bloodscrawl Jedi were allowed special wavers to wield not just this particular red bladed weapon when it passed into their hands, but any Lightsaber whose blade color possessed this particular weapons distinct shade of red (It is believed that this is where the family first acquired the Bloodscrawl Surname, as part of the ceremony of passing it from parent to child required the successor to write the Jedi Code with one of its blade tips). Lost in battle long before the Clone Wars, the weapon resurfaced in an ancient chamber on Kirdo 3, to Nathan's immense shock. Largely a ceremonial weapon. Rare is the occasion Nathan would willingly be seen with it, as no Jedi alive remembers the ancient story surrounding the magnificent weapon, with many regarding it as an anomaly to be wielded only by the eccentric, and having a knee jerk reaction to the sight of anyone with a Red Lightsaber. Only a truly significant threat could prompt him to take it out for public use.

It is also able to deflect not just standard blaster bolts but charric bolts as well as deflect conventional slugthrower bullets. It also absorbs sonic bolts into it's blade.

- Variety: The versatility of the weapon in question is tremendous. It is able to function as either a double bladed lightsaber pike, a long handle double blade Lightsaber, or a long handle Lightsaber (All variants with protective crossguard active), simply by twisting and retracting the handle into itself to activate the dual phase features. Both the top and bottom primary blades can be activated independently of each other and it has a powerful stun mode only for it's blades, rendering them non lethal. The stun energy has a chance of traveling through heavy armor and shields
- Rip and Tear: The cutting power has been increased by a potentially significant degree due to the Qixoni Crystal used. It has the same slight chance to break a Lightsaber blade powered by a synth crystal as a synth crystal Lightsaber has against a regular crystal Lightsaber (While having a greatly reduced possibility ift being broken in turn). It also has a slightly greater chance of cutting through both Conventional and Lightsaber resistant materials slightly faster than normal Lightsabers
- Channeler: The power of the crystal inside, tuned to the Light, allows for massively greater ease in channeling the Light Side of The Force and it's hilt allows it to absorb heavy Electric attacks.
- Duelist: Hands down one of Nathans best Lightsabers for dueling not just one but potentially Multiple Lightsaber fighters
- Deflection: The power of the blads are such that not only can they turn aside conventional blaster bolts, but charric bolts and solid ammo, as well as absorb sonic bolts
- Force Voids: Will not function in Force Voids
- Imperfect Deflection: It's can deflect but not redirect an projectiles at a shooter. Plus, if the solid ammo has a special trip the bullets or whatever may still get through
- Dark Side: Exposure to the Powers Waves of darkness, and bolt of hatred can shut the blades off or even break them. The blades are also extremely vulnerable to Force Sabers, which can shatter the blades easily and prevent them from being reactivated for long periods, as well as cut through the shaft.
- Slow Swing: About a tenth slower to swing then other weapons of this category due to the gyroscopic forces being greatly increases.
