STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum) :
[+]Lan like the rest of his species was an incredibly gifted fighter. He was lithe, fast, and incredibly good at killing. He was built for killing, and like the rest of his species Lan was trained for just that.
[+]Unlike many other Noghri Lan is no longer blinded by ancient tribal codes and strict edicts. Lan cared nothing for the old alliances and ways of his world. This meant that unlike many modern day Noghri Lan is not beholden to any one person or faction, this makes him free, perhaps the greatest gift a Noghri could have.
[+]Lan's sense of smell like the rest of his species was incredible. His sense of smell was so good that he was capable of “smelling” a persons heritage, tracing back their family line with no problem. This of course made him an expert hunter and tracker.
[-]What is one of his greatest strengths is also one of his greatest weaknesses. Lan's sense of smell is so powerful that it is very easy to disrupt. Stink bombs of any sort have a habit of giving him a major headache and thus making him a far worse fighter.
[-]Even though he has left old alliances behind Lan is still beholden to the Noghri code of Honor. Much like Wookiees, Noghri follow a code of honor in their day to day life barring them from fighting certain enemies and killing others. Lan still follows this code.
[-]Due to the environment he was raised in Lan finds using modern technology...difficult. Flying most ships is completely beyond him, speeders are difficult for him to understand and the first time he attempted to use a blaster rifle he became extremely confused. Over time this effect mitigates as Lan learns more and more about modern technology, but for now he sticks to simple weapons and technology.

SHIP:
He likes paper airplanes.

BIOGRAPHY:
Lan'rith was born to a tribe of Noghri on Honoghr, a child of battle and assassinations like the rest of his Kin, he however was different than many of the reptiles upon the world. His tribe back on his home world was not of the regular Noghri species, instead they were of a sub-species created thousands of years ago.

The Gengh-Noghri as they were known were a species of Noghri that were taken from Honoghr during the time of the Rakatan Empire. The Gengh-Noghri thrived and survived away from their cousins, eventually growing visually distinctive from their relatives but remaining otherwise the same. They were still killers and more than effective assassins. The Gengh-Noghri lived separately from their cousins for hundreds of years, growing, learning, and forming their own society separate of the Noghri. Even through this fast difference however the Gengh-Noghri remained mostly the same to their cousins, carrying on many of the same traditions.

Eventually after millenniums apart the Gengh-Noghri and the Noghri were reunited. When the Gulag plague struck the galaxy it struck the world of the Gengh-Noghri quite hard. Several tribes immediately fled the world, scattering across the galaxy in search for a new home. Lan's tribe was the only one of the dozens to return to their original home world of Honoghr.

Upon returning to their homeworld the original Noghri almost immediately welcomed back their long lost twins. Due to their olfactory senses being much higher than normal they could tell that the Ghengh-Noghri were long lost cousins and thus had a place there on Honoghr.

Lan himself was born nearly three hundred years after his tribes return to Honoghr. He knew nothing of the difference between Gengh-Noghri and regular Noghri, nor did he care. From his childhood onward Lan simply immersed himself in the training that his people went through. He became fast, strong, and like all of his kin, a killer.

At the age of twenty Lan began to question the ways and ideals of his people. The young Noghri began to question the ways of his kind, he unlike his kin did not want to follow the relatives of someone long dead. He did not want to spend his life protecting those he cared nothing for. His honor bound him to complete assignments given, but unlike the rest of his people Lan did not compete for these positions. Though he was hailed as one of the greatest warriors that had recently come about Lan cared nothing for the ways of his people.

Of course his distaste was seen by the tribal elders of his clan. They confronted him, and in what could only be described as a breakdown Lan told them everything. He told them of his distaste of guarding, his hatred of the duties they made him do, and his lack of honor.

Surprisingly the Tribal Elders did not punish him. They did not yell or scold him, instead they came to an understanding with him. They gave Lan a choice. Enter retirement within the outskirts of Honoghr and serve the Mal'ary'ush by serving Honoghr itself, or venture out into the galaxy and learn all he could, then return and teach a new generation of Noghri all he had found.

Almost too eagerly Lan jumped at the second option. With a Child like glee and extreme optimism the Lizard left Honoghr, eager to learn.
