Lanx Velishin
That Cathar Flyboy
NAME: Lanx Velishin
FACTION: Confederacy of Independent Systems, Starfall Squadron
RANK: Novice Pilot, bombardier,
SPECIES: Cathar
AGE: 19 years old
SEX: Male
HEIGHT: 188cm
WEIGHT: 63.50kg
EYES: Black iris, yellow sclera
HAIR: Brown hair
Hair Style: Wavey, almost mullet-like, with mutton chops down the sides of his face, down to his chin.
SKIN: Light brown, short fur covering his entire body. Strips of darker, courser fur on his face, hands, arms, and back.
STRENGTHS:
- Natural pilot: Having grown up in the mines as a slave laborer, one might not assume that having piloting skills would be very likely. Lanx was lucky enough to buck that trend, proving to be a docile enough worker and a natural enough flyer to get behind the the controls of speeders and, on the rare occasion, a transport vessel.
- Quick hands: Perhaps not a strength to the guards of the mining operation, but Lanx's quick hands enabled him to pluck extra rations, a commlink or two, or even harder to get items that allowed him to survive the hard life of a miner for longer than some might be able.
- Sneaky strong: His frame might not indicate it, but having to mine for many hours a day without stopping tends to build up one's strength. Lanx is no exception, able to lift much more weight than might be indicated by his slender frame.
WEAKNESSES:
- Blaster baby: Being a former slave, Lanx has rarely held, much less fired, any sort of blaster. The closest things being mining lasers used to cut through tough rock, but nothing along the lines of a pistol or rifle by the time he joins with Starfall.
- Not a tinker-er: Even though he has been a miner for much of his time in the galaxy, this particular slave has learned next to nothing in terms of mechanics. He's even slightly adverse to learning. Do you know how hard it is to get oil out of fur?
- Space legs: Having not spent much time in space by the time he joins Starfall, Lanx is not used to the lighter gravity, or how jumping out of hyperspace causes your stomach to just jump all over the place. Kira should have warned him about that.
