STRENTGHS
Character-related
  • Extremely handy with melee weapons. Trained to be a killer for hundreds of years since she was but a child, engaging her in melee combat will prove to be a great challenge and ill advised.
  • Way with words. Over time she has studied behaviours and learned what to say and when to say it, resulting in her being very persuasive with words. Whether it is to avoid a conflict, persuade someone into doing something or to enrage someone- she will find a way to get it done.

Species-related
  • Heightened Senses like increased depth perception, a heightened sense of smell and hearing, as well as a natural night vision
  • Enhanced agility, reflexes, speed and strength- in that order.
  • Capable of healing herself thanks to her species’ natural accelerated healing. Small cuts and scrapes will heal almost instantly while bigger wounds take some time to heal but still much less than other species.
WEAKNESSES[
Character-related
  • Criminally educated. Because she has been raised and spent her entire life in the company of criminals, the same gang even, she has hardly any idea of what is going on in the rest of the universe. Neither does she have any idea what is acceptable, custom or ordinary.
  • Cocky. Because she has superior fighting training, but most importantly because she has only fought thugs and other criminal gang who aren’t always exactly known for their fighting expertise, she developed the idea she is far superior over anyone and is unstoppable in the field.
Species-related
  • While her species is biologically immortal, individuals of the species can still die due to heavy damage, fatal wounds, or dismemberment.
  • Photo-Sensitivity, her species has an allergy to the ultraviolet radiation given off by many stars. This allergy results in the individual's skin starting to burn and blister, with more severe burns developing the longer they remain in the source of the ultraviolet radiation.
  • Ideally, she needs to consume blood once a week to stay fit and to keep a clear mind.
APPEARANCE:

amanda4+copy.jpg

Even though her fangs are less noticeable compared to others like her, they're still visible if one knows where to look or takes a closer look of the woman. Not wanting to attract much attention to herself considering the life she led and the people with whom she worked, she chose to have something covering her mouth out all times. Unless the situation turns bad, in that case, she’ll happily take the cloth of and show the world what she is.
Because of her average day to day life she is barely ever seen wearing something which isn’t armour or at least protective clothing. Anyone claiming they ever saw her in ordinary clothes is either lying- or dangerous.
Her blue eyes are known for making people feel they are being seen in and out. Her piercing eyes can make others uncomfortable should she wish.

BIOGRAPHY (WIP):

Layla doesn't now much about her history, not even were she came from.
Truth is, her mother, whoever that was, gave her away when she was but a baby.

Motherless
Obviously not wanted by her mother, Layla had only been in the company of her new 'family' for almost a year when they got raided by a group who called themself the Omega gang.

One New Recruit, Please
The girl, still only a baby, was kept hidden by her family at first when the Omega raided their village and home, but one of the gang members soon discovered the girl when she had started to cry at arguably the worst moment. Ever.
The man grabbed the baby from the backroom and took her to the lving room where both Omega's leader and Layla's family were. The eyes of her family members lit up with fear as they saw the little girl.
"No! Don't take her!"
"Please"
"You don't know what she is, she.. she's dangerous!"
The man then desperately started ranting about the child being a special species and something dangerous. He ranted and ranted for minutes and minutes about how the little girl had to be treated and what she was.
However, these pleads for mercy and the warning the criminals had been given did not stop them from taking the little girl.
After the child had been escorted away and before the officer left as well, he looked at the caretakers and told them, chuckling, "Don't worry. We will make good use of her". He then nodded at his henchmen, "Kill them"
And with that the man left. The only thing he heard while he walked out the door were two shots followed by the sound of two bodies hitting the floor.

Royally Made To Be A Thug
The child was taken care off by the gang members, each taking care of her for a week before handing her over to the next. It needn't be said that they didn't do it out of charity, but they needed extra manpower, and this child would never even be able to remember her original family, so in time she would truly consider the gang to be her family. It was the easiest way to recruit someone.

A Warning Taken Too Lightly
The thugs had laughed the man's warning off, but after a good few years, the little girl started to show strange behaviour.
One time, the man babysitting her came running out of his house with fear in his eyes, claiming that he had been bit by the little girl. The others laughed at him in disbelieve at first, but slowly realised he was serious when he showed them a bite mark, still slightly covered with blood.

Threat- Or The Best Weapon In The World
The girl had been locked up in a cage since she'd bitten her caretaker. The leaders of Omega barely kept the gang from executing the little girl with the promises that 'she'd bring them so much wealth they'd live the lives of Kings'.
They took a different approach to nurturing Layla and quickly started training her with swords and knives. The small room she had previously been sleeping in was closed off however; her new room was a rather comfy cell, but a cell nonetheless.

The Development Of An Obedient Monster
The gang members had made sure to teach her twice as much obedience as they taught her strength and fighting skills. The combination of these two teachings turned the little girl into a full grown and dangerous woman in a matter of years.

Blood For Blood
And so a monster had been created.
The woman never left her cell unless she was called for by her leaders. She accompanied them during dangerous missions, threatened those who needed to be threatened and fought alongside Omega. In return, the gang provided her with everything she needed, blood included.
Out of fear the woman would someday start to become rebellious or curious as to why she had to kill the people she killed, the gang ordered her to stay in her cell at all times unless she was necessary. After all, Layla had been told she was killing low life scum, rapists and murderers- and even though that was often true, in reality her current 'family' consisted of a collection of people not a hair different from the ones she killed.
If only she knew.

Respect: A Thing Of The Past
Thanks to her heritage, she outlived many of the generations of gang members. Even though she hardly ever truly formed an emotional bond with any of the members, at least there had always been a mutual respect between her and the oldest generations. The ones that had raised and indoctrinated her already used her purely for their own gain, yes, but they still respected the woman and the power which she held. Even though she was seen as a tool by them, she was also seen as a member. Unfortunately for her, however, this mutual feeling of respect degraded over time. The children of her captors were still taught to respect her, and so too were their children- and their children. But over time, as the gang grew in size and no one in the gang would even remember any of the names of the members which had recruited her, the respect she had always received started to slowly but surely make place for the thought she was truly but a tool- a pet, purely there for Omega to use.
This change worsened the relation between Layla and the Omega gang. Work-wise, nothing immediately changed, but when they are not out in the field, Layla and the Omega gang have no relation at all. She still works for them – what choice does she have – and they provide her with blood and things she need in return, but apart from that not a single word is exchanged between Layla and the gang.

[member="Layla Sorenn-Syrush"] Well, I may be looking for someone to plant a knife in the heart of an old rival of mine, one [member="Adron Malvern"] (if the guy agrees to do an assassination attempt thread).

Willing to pay a few millions to a professional who can get the job done right.
