Azure Alcyone
LC-1 was found in a droid graveyard on Corellia. Despite her internal cognitive module still being capable of operation, and all her memory banks intact, all other systems were damaged beyond repair. Which included her leaking fuel cells, thus reducing her to an intermittent catatonic state.
Like all pilot droids of her line, the first letters does not always designate the series. Furthermore, she comes equipped with a heuristic processor, that enables her to evolve and determine how to better accomplish a task, through the process of trial-and-error. The idea behind equipping these models with such advanced processors was that, as a pilot droid, she would be able to better interact with biological sentient being by way of experience and learning.
Droids with heuristic models tend to develop personality quirks, though. As did LC-1.
Lacking a working computer capable of handling the new systems retrofitted into an old YT-1930 light freighter, Spek Zhio, modified and installed LC-1's brain to serve as the starship's main computer. Upon which he discovered that the droid had a will of her own. Yet, seemed thrilled to then be able to fly across the sea of stars.
As a ship's computer, LC-1 currently lacks any means of direct communication with the passengers aboard the vessel. Nevertheless, she appears to be able to use the onboard systems - turning them on and off, for example - to convey her state of mind.
