  • Misc. Equipment: Audiovisual array, advanced voice emulators, neuranium shielding around key joints
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • The chassis head has been modified into a comprehensive holographic projector.
  • The AI maintains a persistent passive connection to the Holonet.
  • The LE-03 AI does not seem fond of children. They seem to annoy her. What purpose this serves, or even if this is an integral part of her programming, has not yet been discerned.
STRENGTHS:
  • The LE-03 chassis is an example of extreme firepower in a limited frame. Its integrated arm cannon has multiple settings, allowing for concussive or sonic shots as well as laserfire. Each shot is capable of rapid firepower, or charging for a more powerful shot to clear a room.
  • The LE-03 AI’s origins allow for an unusual level of flexible and independent thought, and can operate and make decisions without orders from its handler. This AI allows the droid to bridge the gap between Class 4 and Class 3 droid types, and approach organic levels of self-determination, although it retains a distinctly non-organic worldview.
  • The LE-03 AI is capable of evolution and self-modification based on situational needs.
  • The LE-03 AI maintains a persistent passive connection to the Holonet, allowing for quick searching, analysis, and retrieval of data not contained within the unit (ex. Multiple languages, building/ship schematics, etc.)
  • The LE-03 AI has developed a uniquely intense bond with its handler, one Vidalu Na’an, and has opted to leave the Jedi Order with her rather than remain with the Jedi Order. This bond, as well as the nature of its’ AI, allows it an unusual level of empathy with organic life.
WEAKNESSES:
  • As the LE-03 chassis is quite heavy for its size, it is impractical for work where delicate or graceful movement are required. Its large size also makes combat difficult in tight quarters without significant collateral damage. The LE-03 chassis is also somewhat top-heavy, although the AI has learned to compensate via strategic stances.
  • The arm cannon on the LE-03 chassis requires a brief charging period wheon modes are switched. Charging may also be required in preparation for a more powerful shot.
  • The LE-03 chassis lacks fine motor control due to its construction only providing one humanoid hand. While the AI is capable of calculations at incredible speeds, manual interfacing with other electronics severely limits the utilization of these calculations, and should be avoided if possible in favor of a direct connection.
  • The LE-03 AI was made via the active scan of an organic brain. As a result, it is subject to similar biases, emotional extremes, etc. as most organic beings, even if it more aware of these biases than most. A skilled combatant with knowledge of these biases (particularly regarding names otherwise listed in this report) could easily manipulate the unit into making what would normally be considered ‘stupid’ mistakes.
  • The LE-03 AI is built with a failsafe designed to force compliance and erase all previous priorities in favor of the protection of the one activating it. However, this failsafe is voice-activated with a specific passphrase, keyed to the unique vocal patterns of the AI’s creator Eliana Shan, and theoretically could not be activated by anyone else. However, the AI’s full awareness of this failsafe has led to a fear of her creator or organics of equivalent intelligence and ambition, which may be exploited.

DESCRIPTION and HISTORY
The Life Emulator series is the brainchild of one adherent of the school of mad science: a young woman by the name of Eliana Shan. In what many would term her quest for an immortal legacy, she engineered a new process for the creation of faster, more flexible, more ‘human’ droid AIs. These AIs, created out of detailed scans of her own neural patterns, were made in her image, and called her ‘children.’
The first emulator was a confusing prototype--rather than being installed into a droid body, it was utilized as the on-board systems for a ship, and sent out into uncharted space. The full results of this configuration on the AI’s sanity remains unknown.
The second emulator in the series was equally confusing--due to a quirk in their creator’s choices, the AI was set to perfectly mimic, and never deviate from, the mindset of an eleven-year-old . The result was a perpetual girlchild, always pursuing humanity but never, because of its eternal youth, able to achieve it.
But it was in the third emulator--in LE-03--that Eliana Shan found her most profound success, and her greatest tragedy. Given a customized chassis built for war and modeled after her own personal armor, this AI displayed a plasticity and an autonomy allowing it to take on complex, years-long tasks with full independence. However, it was this plasticity--and its exposure to a world outside of Eliana’s-- that led the AI to take a name of her own, and to evolve in ways that her creator could not control.

Some historical notes:
  • Known to have engaged in the destruction of the smuggler cruiser Pygmalion, along with the wholesale slaughter of its crew. These actions seem to have been the result of some overly simplistic commands provided by its maker before deployment, commanding the AI to locate one Vidalu Na’an by any means necessary. The AI expressed horror and remorse for these actions shortly upon the completion of its mission, and assisted in the destruction of its partner in the mission, the Hunter Droid KR-04 (See Records: Aherk, KR-04).
  • Has forged an unusual bond with former Padawan Vidalu Na’an in the three years following their first encounter. This bond seems to be based in mutual guilt for the actions of their former companions (See Records: The Family), as well as emotional dependence rather than the subservience typical in droid models. It is notable that Na’an seems to be the catalyst for the AI taking on the name “Leigh”. Having formed this bond, the LE-03 AI chose to remain in the custody of the Jedi Order in order to continue their partnership.
  • Has lately shown an increasing distaste for humanoid presentation, in part due to disillusionment concerning the nature of her creator (See Records: Eliana Shan), and the limited nature of her own free will. This distaste for and fear of her creator seems to be a not-insignificant motivation for her own defection from the Jedi Order, as Eliana Shan was a guest of the Order at the time of her defection.
  • The LE-03 AI has shown an increasing interest in medical research in the last three years, and has shown surprising promise in this field, becoming rather popular on Dantooine for her custom prosthetics. The LE-03 AI is even responsible for the design and implementation of the Libeta Neural Implant for Na’an’s mental treatment. (See Records: Libeta Neural Implant)
It cannot be neglected that Leigh’s primary trait of interest is her unusual level of mental flexibility. Given enough time and the right set of circumstances, the droid as a whole may self-modify into a terrifying war machine, or a fully pacifistic model dedicated to diplomacy and the gathering of knowledge. It would be to our credit to continue observing this AI’s actions in the field after her defection.

Thanks for your concern, [member="Kurenai Yumi"], but I'm right where I want to be. There's a copy in approved technology focusing specifically on specs, but as a droid character this profile was always going to include most of those specs anyway. Think of this as an updated report treating the droid as a character, not just a pile of curcuits. :)
