Learn All The Colors! (The Wrong Way)

Carliah Dakrone

Walking the Path to Redemption
Carliah was currently sitting in a garden with [member="Yusan Fenn"]. Spread out between the two of them was a set of cards of varying colors. Now that Carliah had a body with normal eyes, instead of being a Miraluka, she could actually see and understand colors now. The former Sith had asked Yusan to teach her the names of all the colors. After all, it wasn't like he would lie to her and tell her the wrong names right? Surely Yusan wouldn't try to make a fool of her like that, he was in love with her after all.

Yusan sat across from her and stared as he looked at her new face. It was weird, her having eyes and all and when they had gotten her into the body he had been unable to really say anything that would be registered as a coherent sentence. Now though he still found himself looking at her with a smile as his hands hovered over the cards. "Ok, so, this is going to be weird so bare with me on this as i never had to actually teach someone how to see colors... Even now it kind of sounds a bit weird but what ever. You ready Carliah?"

Carliah nodded. She had reacted strangely to seeing her eyes for the first time too. She had been told when she awoke that they were different colors. She had no idea what that meant as she had never really seen colors before. The world looked so much different to her now that she had eyes instead of only using Force Sight. She had retained her ability to use Force Sight of course, but she had to have her eyes closed to do such. "I'm ready. I mean you're just going to show me the cards and say the names of the colors right?" [member="Yusan Fenn"]

"Of course, what else would i do there dingbat. Do have some faith in me..." He smiled at her and looked over to grab a blue card, lifting it up and showing her it. "This is blue, something of a calmer color. A little bit sad, but also beautiful like water and the sky. Its something that i rather like but not nearly my favorite. Its also the same color as the blade of my mother's lightsaber. The one you are holding with you ever since that chiss planet. When you know, things happened. But hey, now i have a tail soooo." He smiled and let the tail come up and tickle her nose.

Carliah giggled as his tail tickled her nose. She stared at the card, memorizing the colors. She remembered seeing that color when she had looked in the mirror upon waking up in her new body.

"One of my eyes is that color right? But it's not as dark..." she seemed confused by the slight difference in shade between her eye and the card. "Does that mean something is wrong? Is it still blue if it's lighter?" [member="Yusan Fenn"]

[member="Carliah Dakrone"]

"Right, sorry. There is such a thing as shades, variations in the colors we see as the light hits the eye. This includes the pigment in our eyes, our skin, our hair. The color of the dirt. There are millions of colors if you take into account the shades... but we don't have the time for me to make up names for every single shade of a color so im just teaching you the base colors. The ones in which all other colors branch from. If that makes sense."

Carliah nodded and pointed to a red card. "Which one is that?" she asked, tapping it with her finger. It looked really pretty, and she was extremely curious about what it was called. Who had even chosen the names for the different colors, she wondered. Someone had to name them all. What did people think of them before they had names? [member="Yusan Fenn"]

He was going to start messing with her... but his eyes caught how she looked at the color and he sighed as he smiled and nodded. "This is red... its a color that you would have been quite familiar with to be honest and the one that the Sith carry and care about all the time. Its the color of Roses, Blood, some crystals, a number of different things that i can't begin to think about... and my eyes for a while there. Luckily thats over and for good measure... not sure i like having glowing gold eyes..." He missed his dull Silver eyes sometimes.

Carliah nodded and moved onto the next color, taping the yellow card in the set. It was the same color as the large belt that held the white part of her outfit on. Her current clothing seemed rather old and outdated, but she loved it. It consisted of a white top that was wrapped around her neck and across her chest in the front, held in place by a wide yellow belt with a patterns of green vines on it. Her back was left bare except for a few black straps from an undershirt and the large yellow bow her sash was tied in. She wore an ankle length blue skirt that was slit up to the middle of her thigh on one side, with knee high black boots beneath it. On her arms were a set of white sleeves that where quite long and faded to a vibrant pink at the bottoms. She wore a small silver necklace in the shape of a Y with flowers dangling off of it, it was the same necklace Yusan's soul had been in. [member="Yusan Fenn"]

"That one is green..." Ok so he didn't -have- to teach her all the correct colors. After all who was to know if she had them right or wrong anyways... Taeli would probably kill him if she found out but he had a good feeling he was safe at least for a little while longer. His hand went to pick up the card beside it, the one that was actually green and spoke again with a smile. "And this one, its Yellow. Odd name for a color but what ever." He couldn't help himself in the moment, it was going to be funny watching people's confusion at their queens misunderstanding of what colors are what but really he could only smile and wave so to say about the future.

Carliah nodded and repeated the colors to herself. She used her own appearance to help her memorize their names.

"So my other eye is yellow, and my belt is mostly green, with a little bit of yellow on it?" She asked, as if trying to make sure she was correct. The woman seemed very eager to make sure she had all the colors right. Having just recently gained the ability to see them, they fascinated her more than they would the average person. It was like she was toddler. [member="Yusan Fenn"]

HE smiled and nodded to the woman as he sat there and continued. "Yes, that should cover the majority of the colors i think... Hmm." He leaned back and looked over the cards for a few moments before smiling to himself again and resting his head forward on his hands. "Hey Carliah, want to go check out some more of your planet. I am sadly not used to this place so im a bit lost most of the time. And what better tour guide to have than you?" His brow raised as he looked at her, happy she was there and thats all that mattered to him at this part. His Family.
