Learning from the Force

Akodya's frustrated sigh was lost in the silence of the empty end of the training grounds. The muffled sounds of a few younglings playing kept distracting the young padawan from her meditation. In recent weeks Akodya had struggled to find time for herself to meditate, only allowing herself a brief session before she had to continue her other training. Akodya knew she needed to reconnect with herself and the the light once again.

With her wrists resting on her folded knees Akodya shut her hazel eyes and focused on the sound of her own breath leaving her body. Her muscles twitched as she tried to shut out the world around her and slip into deep concentration.

There is no emotion, there is peace.

The sound of the youngling's joyful giggles slowly began to fade.

There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.

The human's body started to relax, the her stiff posture melting away.

There is no passion, there is serenity.

The harsh line of Akodya's mouth shifted to a calm, content expression. Maybe she'd find a peaceful place this time.

So hi was also in the training grounds; typical of her. She couldn't help but practice and hone her skills. But this wasn't a lesson of co bag on this day. Today she really wanted to center herself, and practice meditation. She really needed to clear her mind, and strengthen her connection to the force. She was clad in her long Jedi robes, which covered a black shirt, and a long, brown, flowing skirt which had her lightsaber clinging to it, while it was attached to her belt. She wasn't sure how many people were occupying the grounds this day but while she too meditated she heard a small group of you goings giggling, and distracting her. For one she didn't want to say anything to them, hoping the in time she could block them out. But as they went on she found it harder to focus enough to even get to that point. She sighed, and slowly got up out of her meditation trance. Turning around with her hands on her hips. She followed the giggling, and mild play to the source which led her to another side of the grounds. She caught them and scolded them for their behavior, but she didn't lose her temper or get loud with them. After sending them on their way she sighed, and heard the sighed of someone else present. When the giggles faded she looked on to see another fellow Jedi, obviously trying to find her center as well. Though there was much frustration radiating from her. Sochi slowly approached thinking maybe she could ask what was wrong. "Excuse me, but are you okay?" She said softly

The light breeze pulled back Akodya from her intense concentration as the wind tugged at the end of her tan robes. She felt her own hair softly brush her face, it seemed the galaxy didn't want her to have some time free of her worries. The sound of childlike laughter slowly faded and was replaced with a still silence. Maybe they had decided to continue their games elsewhere? With eyes still closed she raised an eyebrow and footsteps that were closing in on her. A soft and somewhat hesitant voice pierced the darkness as Akodya reluctantly opened her eyes to face the figure standing above her. The human almost gasped at the sight of the person. Through the glare of the sun Akodya just caught sight of a pair of montrals. She immediately thought of missing Snator Khan, her friend, at the sight of them. Of course, once she focused on the figure, it was just another Togruta padawan.

"I'm alright, thank you. Just trying to center myself." She said quickly, feeling a bit stupid that she had thought Khan had magically appeared safe and sound. Studying the other Jedi, Akodya believed she had seen her before...ah! she was Nala's partner from the training mission a few weeks back. A small smile spread across her face. "You are Nala Tu's friend, aren't you? I'm sorry, but I don't think I know your name."

She looked confused, as the girl quickly sped through her response, but she smiled anyway nodding. From the frustration she was feeling resonating from her, she had only wanted to help. Sochi figured maybe it was the younglings that kept her from concentrating, hence why she was frustrated. If that was the case, they had something in common because Sochi was also affected by the constant play from the younglings, but one couldn't be mad at them. They were only kids after all. "Well alright, I just thought I should ask, to see if I can help..." She was then cut off by the girls sudden smile, which made her eyes widen. She had remembered her, "Yes, yes I am. My name is Sochi Ru" she said smiling, and then right after Ru had gotten a revelation as well, she remembered the girl from the mission again, which she assumed also jogged her memory. She remembered her from bickering with that one other Padawan. "Ahh now I remember, we were both apart of that training mission to Obreedan a while ago, forgive me as well, but I never caught your name either" she said softly, and friendly. Now the air was more welcoming.
